We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Yara Lamp a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Yara thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
The fashion industry is constantly evolving, the biggest trends that they are emerging in my industry are many but here are my favorite top 3 trends: 1- the corset belt, it’s a great accessory to add to your wardrobe as it accentuates the waist and give that hourglass look.
2- A hat with a net, it’s also one of my favorite accessories to add when you are looking for a vintage classy elegant look.
3- Crochet fabric, it’s a nice style that can some sexiness to the look.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a fashion model and style influencer with years of experience across the globe,
Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, my multilingual ability allowed me to become an ambassador for cosmetics companies across the Middle East and Europe.
Moved to the United States in 2008. Been featured in many magazines and walked a runway for local and international designers.
My expertise are in fashion and beauty.
My mission mission is to elevate the fashion industry using my multi-cultural background and worldly experience and to influence and empower women using style and fashion.

We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
I met my business partner during St Pete Fashion Week, I was walking the runway modeling outfits and my business partner was in the audience looking for models for her own brand, after the show she approached me and gave me her business card.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The fashion industry is a non stop learning experience but like everything else in life we mature in our industry, and when we look back into our past experiences we realize how much we have evolved and how many miss judgments we made, but if there is a lesson to unlearn would be never trust every promise we get, but after all we always learn from our mistakes.
