We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Yaquelin Lizaola a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Yaquelin, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
The name of my company came about during a late-night conversation with my sister about launching a business dedicated to helping companies build and grow on digital platforms. It was right after the pandemic, during a time when everyone was deeply connected through social media—think back to the TikTok dancing craze! With people spending so much time online, we saw a real opportunity. After scribbling down ideas, one name stood out: “Content Collaborative.” It just felt right. We were entering the “content is king” era, though we didn’t realize then just how true that would become. Today, nearly every business depends on digital platforms and campaigns to bring in leads and clients, and I’m so glad we chose a name that perfectly fits the industry’s direction. Thank goodness for pen and paper!

Yaquelin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My passion is helping businesses grow and connect through digital marketing. I got into this industry by working with companies focused on media and marketing, both across the country and locally, gaining exposure to various strategies and audiences. Working with entertainers on the Las Vegas Strip gave me a deep understanding of audience engagement, which eventually led me to focus on other local businesses independently. Going out on my own allowed me more creative control and the opportunity to oversee campaigns across omni-channels, ensuring every part of a campaign aligns and resonates.
At Content Collaborative, we offer a full range of services—from social media management and content creation to influencer management, event activations, paid ad management, and both organic and paid social strategies. I work with a variety of clients, including nonprofits, restaurant franchises, schools, and local businesses, adapting our approach to meet their unique needs. We even create event-driven campaigns to leverage Las Vegas’s strong event culture, which adds an exciting edge to what we do.
I solve key problems for my clients. Many businesses struggle to be visible and connect authentically with their audience, and I step in to help them maintain high-quality, consistent content that resonates. I also address the challenge of generating leads and driving traffic, crafting digital campaigns that keep them ahead in today’s fast-paced social media landscape.
Discipline is a core part of how I work. I know how important consistency and quality are in branding and content, so I bring a structured yet creative approach to each project. Whether I’m helping a new brand launch or elevating an existing one, I make sure every campaign is thoughtfully aligned with my clients’ goals. I’m deeply invested in each client’s journey, treating every detail with care to ensure that their investment in digital marketing leads to real growth and success.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
The toughest part was figuring out how I’d land my first client and grow my business from there. Fortunately, I had built some experience and contacts from previous roles, and they trusted my work enough to follow me when I started on my own, allowing us to grow together. The real “challenge” was convincing them that I could not only handle it but actually deliver even better services. I was both nervous and excited because I had to create packages and quickly expand my knowledge in the digital space. With how fast technology evolves—platforms with ad capabilities, analytics, AI—it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come! What I’ve realized is that I was always learning, even when I felt like I was starting from scratch. As platforms evolved, so did my services, adapting along the way.
