We recently connected with Yanna I’Vonne and have shared our conversation below.
Yanna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I just knew that I always wanted to be a creator of some sort. The gift of song was given to me and the love for music just fell into place along side it. Music has always been my comfort zone.
Yanna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi there!
My name is Yanna I’Vonne, and I’m a rising singer, songwriter, and performer based in Cleveland, Ohio. Music has always been my passion, and I’ve been dedicated to my craft since 2019. My music, available on all major platforms, blends R&B with diverse influences, earning me the nickname “The R&B Alien.” I pride myself on creating a unique sound that reflects my individuality.
My goal is to organically share my music with a wider audience and connect with those who resonate with it. The gift of music allows me to share my passion and connect with others. This platform is also a valuable tool for networking with other creators in the music industry, fostering collaboration and growth.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Turning my emotions, experiences, and stories into songs allows for a deeply personal and impactful form of self-expression. From the initial spark of inspiration to the satisfaction of crafting a complete song, the entire process can be incredibly fulfilling. Music has a unique power to evoke emotions and forge connections. Knowing my music resonates with others is a powerful reward. As a Musician I constantly learn new techniques, explore different sounds, and refine my craft. Whether it’s performing live or seeing my music streamed online, sharing my creation with an audience is a core desire for me. Knowing my music motivates or influences others in their creative journey is a significant source of pride.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
There have definitely been moments of self-doubt in my musical journey. Early on, I encountered challenges that left me questioning my abilities and progress. Fortunately, I had a supportive network that helped me persevere through those difficult times.
One of the biggest hurdles was overcoming a period of creative stagnation. I had to rediscover the core reasons why I make music in the first place. Ultimately, I reconnected with the intrinsic joy of creating and the purpose of sharing my music with those who resonate with it.
