We were lucky to catch up with Xhilerate recently and have shared our conversation below.

Xhilerate, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

We (Xhilerate), are a rock band out of Phoenix Arizona! This year in 2024 we made significant progress as a band playing all over the valley as well as venturing out of state performing in Los Angeles. Going into 2025 we look forward to putting out new music and playing new venues!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Nicolas Mondragon (Singer/Founder), brought together all the members and handles the business and management. Songwriting starts with guitarist Kevin Herrera who is the heart and soul of the band bringing his ideas and creativity to the table. Our biggest hit “Masks of Liars” was all composed and structured by Kevin as he demonstrated his talents playing all instruments on the song. Kevin has put together many new ideas that Xhilerate will soon be recording. Lyrics are written by Nicolas. On bass we have the incredible Daijon Dior who is known as one of the best bass players in Arizona. On drums we have the energetic Reid Davis who has shown why he is a top tier drummer with passionate playing and dedication to his craft.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Networking is crucial and very important when promoting your brand. We have gained a following and more supporters as we performed more. Getting your name out there is by being consistent and engaging with your audience.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Xhilerate has been through many obstacles and we have faced many challenges in the past. How we maneuvered through these situations is by being a team and everyone staying focused and patient. Patience is vital when it comes to being in a band and not being selfish.
