We recently connected with Xavier Wooding and have shared our conversation below.
Xavier, appreciate you joining us today. Can you recount a story of an unexpected problem you’ve faced along the way?
An unexpected issue I’ve faced with being a creative is the issue of time. As common and reoccurring as it sounds, most creatives stumble across the issue of time management when it comes to balancing their daily lives. This issue arose within my life as well which I’d assume wouldn’t happen since I’m great with managing my time outside creating. I’m still undergoing the process of doing so, however, the inconvenience of not controlling my time has taught me patience which as caused my works to develop faster than previous years.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a young artist from a small town called Saint George located in South Carolina. I started writing lyrics during class and at work when I was roughly 16 year old and became vocal once I’ve reached college. From there I honed in on my craft and focused solely on creation, so I provide services to other creatives and people who would like to create. Those services ranges from features, production, all the way down to teaching or sharing what I know musically. When I work with a creative or a soon-to-be creative, I tend to start from the foundation of what they know to build onto it, this is vastly different from others in my field. I’m most proud of creating my art in a form that’s truest to myself without needing to follow a trend, I would like fans and followers to know that they’re seeing the real me.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is being able to be true to myself and helping those who listen to my music or encounter me in life, to connect with their true self.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I’m frequently pivoting through life to obtain my goal but my plan b is to recommit plan a. I’ve worked the odd jobs to be able to purchase the resources I needed to further my goal of creating, I’ve swallowed my pride to learn from the most self absorbed individuals. I’m always pivoting through different routes of life, business, and my career to obtain the success I desire.
