For those who may not know me, my name is Wyatt Poindexter, and I’ve been immersed in the world of real estate for nearly three decades. My journey began humbly, working as a real estate assistant for my father, where I learned the fundamentals of the business, from client relations to the value of hard work and perseverance. It was during those early years that I discovered my passion for real estate and the profound impact it could have on people’s lives.
Breaking into the luxury real estate market wasn’t easy. My first year in the industry was a challenging one—I earned just over $600. However, those humble beginnings fueled my determination. For 16 years, I dedicated four hours every single day to marketing myself, working tirelessly to get my name out there and prove my value. It took grit, focus, and an unwavering belief in my vision, but that perseverance eventually paid off.
Today, I specialize in luxury real estate, representing some of the most exclusive and remarkable properties in the Oklahoma City Metro area and beyond. From sprawling estates and high-end custom homes to boutique vacation properties, I strive to connect clients with homes that reflect their unique lifestyles and aspirations.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
In my nearly 30 years in real estate, I’ve learned that the industry isn’t just about homes—it’s about relationships, integrity, and trust. One of the most profound lessons I’ve experienced came from a challenging and deeply personal situation. For five years, I worked closely with a Realtor on my team who I believed to be a trusted friend and colleague. Unfortunately, this person was secretly undermining my business, stealing clients, and attempting to tarnish my reputation.
At the time, it was a painful betrayal. This individual wasn’t just unprofessional—they were a con artist who used my reputation and hard work to further their own career. However, looking back, I can now say I’m incredibly thankful for this experience. It wasn’t easy, but it ultimately propelled me to the next level in my career and my personal growth.
This situation forced me to reflect deeply on who I wanted to be as a leader and a professional. It challenged my faith and tested my resilience. But it also reinforced the importance of maintaining integrity and focusing on long-term growth rather than short-term setbacks. That painful chapter was a turning point that led me to where I am today: as the proud owner of The Agency Oklahoma, where I’m surrounded by a team of passionate and trustworthy professionals who share my values.
Lessons Learned
1. Integrity is Non-Negotiable:
Betrayal taught me to value transparency and honesty above all else. It reinforced the importance of surrounding myself with people who share those principles.
