We were lucky to catch up with Wrendly Mesidor recently and have shared our conversation below.
Wrendly, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We believe kindness is contagious and so we’d love for you to share with us and our audience about the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
Oh my man! Well, this one is pretty practical, but I can remember from either late 2007/Early 2008. My brother and I were walking around 163rd/15th avenue and we were tired and hungry.
A stranger came up to us and brought us McDonald’s.
That was very kind of him because he didn’t have to.
We’re forever grateful and to this day, I return the favor by treating others with kindness.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
To my readers.
My name is Wrendly Mesidor and I am a small business owner of Wrendly Mesidor Consulting Group, LLC.
True story: I started my consulting business in 2022 when I was running for Commissioner in North Miami Beach because I wanted to give back to the community by offering affordable prices for marketing materials.
My business is focused on Digital services, which include Social media marketing, SEO Optimization, Web design, Digital Photography, Graphic Design, Logo, and Branding.
Aside from being a small business owner, I am also a professional student at Florida International University, where I am currently the Regional Campuses Director for The Student Programming Council (SPC) and was the 1st ever Student Lieutenant Governor of The Student Government Association (SGA) in the History of FIU.
Lastly, I am a community leader and activist in The City of North Miami Beach, where I ran for Commissioner in the 2022 General Election on November 8th.
I ran on The Platform “Community Focused”, which advocates supporting our youth, Community Safety, Community Clean-up projects, Business Support, Economic support, Senior Support, and more.
Any advice for managing a team?
The best advice I can give in terms of managing an effective team is to consider everybody’s ideas instead of dismissing them. There is a saying, “Every successful person has a team behind them”.
And I am a firm believer in delegation. If you want to truly succeed, then build an effective team and use a delegation for effective leadership, which saves you time and keeps you stress-free.
I know this sounds like a Cliché, but as a business owner, I always love to be honest with my clients.
I want to build long-term business and clients connections instead of making quick one-time cash via dishonest tactics.
That’s how I maintain high morale.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
I’m old school when it comes to marketing my company. I make sure to attend as many community events or conferences as I can.
I have a small conversation and then exchange business cards because direct marketing is always the most effective way of building new clients.
Hear me out, people love to see who they are communicating with instead of talking to a screen.
The second source would be social media, of course.
We live in a time when everything is in the palm of our hands.
Instead of waiting for a mailer to arrive, which could take weeks, you can send a direct message in seconds or post stories for your followers.
