We recently connected with Women In Alignment and have shared our conversation below.
Women In Alignment , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Women in Alignment was truly formed and ordained by God. The seed was planted with Tamika Andrea who operates HK Community Action, A Non Profit Organization who partners with schools, children hospitals focuses on meeting the needs of children and their families throughout the city of St. Louis & surrounding counties. Tamika reached out to three other influential women who has also made an impact with our youth and community in a mighty way. Tamika Andrea, CuSandra Wright, Sierra Dean and Rece Jones hearts were aligned to carry out the mission to not only speak about the change but be the change.
Women in Alignment was put in place to mend the broken pieces within our communities. Helping people who are overwhelmed and in transition to find the balance they need to embrace the new chapter of their life and find the good in it.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Although Women in Alignment was formed in October of 2022 we were able to plan and execute our very first community event as an organization called “Spirit of Giving”. with limited resources and very few sponsors we were able to adopt 7 families and surprise them on December 24th with breakfast, clothing, toys, personal items, bags of food to go and so much more. The venue was decorated beautifully, the children were able to take pictures with Santa and have an amazing time. From a special praise dance by way of Blessed Modelz, receiving our first monetary donation from UnGUN Institute, the tears, the laughs and the connections in the room were truly unmatched. Being able to come together in less than 2 months to make it all happen Blessed us as an organization and further proved just how purposeful our mission truly is.
From clothing, food, housing and other resources Women In Alignment strive to make sure that no one is left behind when it comes to the basic necessities of life. By adopting a family, W.I.A. a division a subsidiary of HKCA hopes to help ease the burden for those who may not have the resources needed to provide for their families. If you personally know anyone you would like to nominate to be adopted or who can benefit from being connected to W.I.A., Please send in your nominations to [email protected].
Help us make a difference within our communities and be the change we desire to see! We Thank You in advance.
