We recently connected with Winnie Tam and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Winnie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
We support rescues while selling coffee.
Winnie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We are a coffee stand at Frisco Fresh Market on weekends. Not only selling coffee, but also handcraft sodas and authentic Hong Kong style milk tea & lemon tea. Some customers are confused about our coffee stand is selling “dog coffee”, which is not true. We start this business with a mission of supporting local rescues. Dogs are our family, which my husband and I would love to include in our business name.
We started selling authentic Hong Kong milk tea & lemon tea last year and received positive feedback. We are proud of getting more customers, both Hongkongers or non-Hongkongers, to know of our hometown signature drinks. Our locally roasted coffee remains a big hit by its freshness.

Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?
Pandemic and snow storms did put us in $0 income as the farmers market was closed. We rely on selling bottled milk tea or bags of coffee with deliveries. I’m so glad things are back to normal now and our regular customers come back for our drinks. We are so blessed to see them come back every weekend.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Freshness is the most important part of building reputation with our clients. Our mission of supporting local rescues also supported by dog lovers. We love to work with the rescues and would arrange adoption events with them at the market.
