Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Wilson Kimble. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Wilson , thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

My parents instilled Christian principles of life in my siblings and me. My mother made sure to we had a strong Christian foundation in everything we did. Our parents encouraged us to be our individual selves and leaders . They made sure we gave 100% to every goal we wanted to achieve. This impacted how I approached life obstacles and goals.

While my father had a full-time job, he also acquired many passions in his life. One being land in which I would watch him cultivate. Seeing this while growing up awakened my passion for farm animals and having my own land. It was destined for me to pursue the dream of having my own farm one day to feed my family and eventually my community. While professionally, I am an IT Manager, my heart is my farm.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a Computer Scientist/IT professional by trade who enjoys farming. You can catch me facilitating technical leaders and restoring critical services for a Fortune 500 company one minute and the next, I’m outside helping a mother goat give birth. We currently have 25 goats, 10 rabbits, and 50 chickens on our 10-acre farm in Fayetteville, GA. Our chickens produce fresh farm eggs daily which we sell to our surrounding neighbors and community.

One thing I am most proud of is my ability to have created this family farm on my own. With the help of my wife, we are able to continue this for our growing family. My wife and I pride ourselves on treating our clients with the highest regard and enjoy the connections we make along the way.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

The key things that continue to help me to build a great reputation as a farmer are quality products, collaborative efforts with other farms, and listening to customer feedback. Here at Kimblelandfarm, my wife and I make sure to ensure quality products by taking the time to invest in what it may take. For instance, we only feed our animals the best feed and invest in their overall well-being. This ensures a safe and better production. Our animals are a part of our family and we treat them as such. They are an essential part of our business. We enjoy the satisfaction our customers feel when purchasing our products and the relationship we build with them. Our Kimbleland customers ensure our products reach others in the community as they always spread the word about our products.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

The most effective strategy for growing our clientele has been the production of high-quality products. It has proven to speak for itself as our customers become regulars. They have recommended us to other customers in the community and are the key to our success here at Kimblelandfarm.
