We were lucky to catch up with Willie Schandel recently and have shared our conversation below.
Willie, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
For the name Wild WILLIË I wanted to come up with a name to match my outgoing and crazy stage personality. Wanna play music and doing all these crazy antics so I thought Wild would be perfect for my name. The term wild means obnoxious, loud crazy and outgoing in a very positive way. So henceforth I chose the name wild Willy and that was the birth. of it

Willie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My first taste music started when I was three years old I listen to one song and that’s how I learned to find my voice. Then by age 14 after my first Van Halen concert, I got the inspiration to play music and to invent myself as an artist. So I took music lessons around 15 and then I progressed from there play my first gig at 18 and I started doing gigs around that time during the 2010s. I finally released my first single in 2020 and I never stopped playing gig since then.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Of course, my music is nothing without a story and it’s about struggle about obstacles and anxiety depression. Those are all just challenges of my life that were the toughest, but the most inspirational to create and write my music and what fueled the songs. It was really good therapy for me and something that I needed to do. I knew right then and there that was my purpose that despite all the hard and toughest obstacles and challenges in my life that music was the best tool I could use to combat those obstacles would you lie to this day? I always song right whatever I’ve been through in my life and put it out there in Music. It’s like what I’ve been through turn into words and then created records. Which really helped me so far to expand and promote my career.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson I have learned is you got to keep on pushing through the hard times as best you can with all you got you may not have much money. You may not have a job that pays well. You may not have your dream job right away but it’s going to happen as long as you keep taking the hits keep working hard and if you keep improving your craft and improving yourself and focus on the things you do need rather than you want and also not focus on the things that you don’t want good things, and all the things will come to you in time before you know it. But most importantly, never hesitate to learn new things yourself they become more stepping stones that will move you up the ladder of life.
