Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Willie Schandel . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Willie, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
When I was 14 years old, I saw my first Van Halen concert, and that sparked the inspiration of what I wanted to do. I wanted it to be just like him. So I took up guitar lessons and delve right into the music scene and the name Wild WilliË came from all my friends, commenting me on my stage, presence and energy so I put the name wild in front of my name as a reference to being the most obnoxious crazy insane musician ever. So after digging and research, I found companionship with my friend Phil, who is a producer and encourage me to write music, so I wrote two songs that became my first two singles and that launched my career. For the past 12 years of my life, I’ve been writing music recording and gigging and now I’m still currently trying to build up my following in my profile and my portfolio doing whatever it takes to get my name across the show the world who I am.

Willie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started playing my first gig around 18 and by the age I develop my own Facebook page I’ve been recording videos of myself playing guitar and playing songs both Facebook and YouTube and then I started playing open mic nights every Tuesday for the past seven years till my first debut at 25 in Denver, and after that I started to tour open mic nights. After the release of my two singles, I then got my first video out and got many great reviews. My goal is to create music that helps people and drives people to accomplish their goals and their dreams in life and when I write a song, I want it to be much different than today’s hits. The whole purpose and mission of my music is to reach out to people who didn’t have a shot in life and give them the strength to keep moving forward and always remind them that good things will happen as long as you change your thinking, and you go to light anything is possible that’s what I want to accomplish in writing my music
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I was 12 years old, I was passionate about music. I listen to all genres, but my world changed when I discovered Ozzy Osbourne here’s a guy gone crazy on stage and get in the crowd around up and everyone cheering for him and loving him and I was like that’s it. That’s what I wanted to do, also another big impact on me was Eddie Van Halen seeing him play solos that was just out of this world really inspired me to pick up a guitar and play and because these guys they introduced me to a whole New World of music. By the time I was in high school, I started writing songs and started taking lessons at the same time and started playing gigs when I was 18 and played open mic nights every other Tuesday at my favorite bar called the alley and then I never stopped since then.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I’ve met Phil through a therapy session. He was a therapist by day, and our first session together was great and we clicked immediately. He gave me a homework assignment for therapy and told me to write two songs that represent you one that’s good and uplifting and one that’s the dark side, so that’s basically higher. I wrote my first two singles and he liked the lyric so much. He asked me if I wanted to go in the studio and record with him and I said yes right away and after we recorded our first single together, he said, like continue writing songs, and I’ll help you record your music and will get an album together and that was the birth of my breakthrough. Music was all because of him and I owe everything to Phil. He’s my best friend and we’re in a really good place with what we’re doing right now.
