We recently connected with William Miller and have shared our conversation below.
William, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Sustainable success doesn’t come overnight, it takes a lot of consistent hard work and passion to reach your desired goals. One must have dedication, and consistently improve on your skill set. Wouldn’t hurt to catch a lucky break here and there too. I’m blessed to do what I love and feel passionate about. Helping my clients meet their goals is a rewarding feeling.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a WITS Certified Personal Trainer with years of experience training individuals aged 5 – 85. I specialize in athletic development but I’m familiar with all aspects of fitness training from injury rehabilitation to weight loss and more. When it comes to Basketball – I have coached on the Eastern Shore for over a decade! I have joined Wootten Camp, Five Star Basketball Camp, Sheryl Swoopes Camp, and Project X-Posure – The Overseas Experience. I’m currently growing the Basketball program as the Head Varsity Coach at North Caroline High School, where I’m also the Head Track & Field Coach.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source for gaining new clients for me has been word of mouth. My work has been speaking for itself. My clients have more confidence in themselves and in their abilities to do things they couldn’t do well in the beginning of our sessions. That keeps them talking about our sessions and my work.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Some of the keys that helped me build a good reputation with my current and past clients is my connection to them; whatever their goal is: it’s my goal too! Being creative in my training regiments for my clients; unique workout routines to conquer their goals and being consistent with what I expect from my clients effort wise and with the hardest part(nutrition).
