William, appreciate you joining us today. One of the toughest parts of scaling a business is maintaining quality as you grow. How have you managed to maintain quality? Any stories or advice?
For Texas Detailing Association (Texas DA) delivering high quality services is what makes the company stand out from competitors. As a company that offers several services such as routine mobile detailing, paint correction, ceramic coating, paint protection film (PPF), and window tint there are several factors involved to ensure that service quality exceeds customer expectations.
For Texas DA, delivering high quality services includes multi-step inspections at every phase of the service as well as offering post service check-ups. The cars serviced by Texas DA are not treated as just another “job” instead they are treated and cared for as our own.
The company has been operating for the past 5 years and started as an endeavor by myself, William Heartsill, working out of my personal vehicle and handling all aspects of the business not only the manual labor side of the job. The business has evolved into a company with multiple vehicles for mobile services, a storefront and most importantly a team of members who view delivering quality as important as I do.
As the company continues to grow the highest priority is building a team that will continue to deliver high standard work through precise attention to detail and development of skills. Texas DA looks to only use the highest quality materials and routinely brings in instructors that demonstrate how to fine-tune the use of products and master product application.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
From a young age, cars regardless of the make and models have always fascinated me. As I grew older and began to learn about the engineering and technology involved with the development of cars, I gravitated towards exotic cars. The love for exotic cars is what drove my business into a niche market of auto-detailing of high-end cars.
The start for Texas DA began by single-handedly working and washing all of my family members’ cars. As a kid, my most common gift to family members was a free car wash. While the gift was for my family it was also a gift for me because I was able to be around something that I found so interesting. Eventually, I moved beyond car washing and taught myself how to use polishing equipment to perform paint corrections and apply ceramic coating to keep vehicle paint protected.
Shortly after learning how to perform paint correction and apply ceramic coatings, I was connected with exotic car owners. The first exotic that I worked on was a yellow Lamborghini Aventador and from there, my calendar began to fill up due to the attention I was getting from the vehicle. Shortly after working on the Aventador I began working on many other exotic vehicles and started getting invitations to attend car-related events one of them being Houston Coffee and Cars. This event has led me to meet some of my most loyal customers to date.
After years of producing high-quality services and growing my client base, I was contacted by high-end, exotic car and marine dealerships throughout Houston, Austin, Dallas, and others including out-of-state cities. The dealerships admired the high-quality work Texas DA performed on mutual client vehicles (marine and land) and reached out for an opportunity to work together. Currently, Texas DA is involved in the initial inspections and application of all of our services to the vehicles before selling.
As there was more demand for Texas DA services, I had to expand the company to be able to provide mobile detailing, ceramic coating, and paint correction services to more customers. I have been fortunate to be able to grow the team with individuals that share the same passion for perfection and cars as I do. Due to popular demand from clients requesting paint protection film (PPF) and window tint services we now offer those services. The Texas DA team has recently undergone several classes to learn how to perfectly apply those products. We are proud that these services are becoming some of the most requested jobs.
One of the things that set us apart from our competition is our unique portfolio, having worked on some of the most exclusive cars in the world brought here to Texas. Texas DA understands that every car is different, therefore we make sure to curate a service package specific to each vehicle.
I am proud of what Texas DA has become and what it will evolve into. The support from friends, family, and clients has been remarkable and I look forward to continue to make them proud with every services we perform.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
After we complete any service whether it is mobile detailing, paint protection film(ppf), ceramic coating, window tint, or paint correction we like to keep in contact with clients via scheduled post-service checkups to ensure the products are working to satisfaction. As a gift to our clients, we often capture professional photos and videos of their vehicles and share them with the clients and our social media family to feature their vehicles and keep them connected to the brand. In addition, we offer a client-exclusive program called The Rally which brings our clients together for a one-day or multi-day event where we go for a drive or get-together at a specially selected venue. The Rally allows our clients to drive with other amazing vehicles and get to know their vehicles more and the protection we installed. We love that our clients participate in our events because they get to meet other individuals that share the same passion for cars and our brand. At Texas DA, we understand the importance of keeping in touch with clients beyond just the services and strive towards maintaining the best client relationships.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients came from customer referrals. Our clients love to show off our work to their friends and family as with our help their vehicles always look new and perfect. We have loyal clients that have been with us since the very beginning and our relationships have gone beyond a customer-client one, as we proudly call many of them friends.
Over the years, our biggest advocates have been customers, car salespeople at dealerships, and fans, such as those we have met at car-related events. Our advocates go above and beyond to support our growth as they not only refer us to other customers but also take the time to write online reviews, share our business cards, interact with our social media, and introduce us to new commercial dealers.
