We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Will Raines. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Will below.

Will, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?

I am currently working on a “fan-made” documentary of the Texas Rangers 2023 World Series run that I am so thrilled to release out into public. I’ve always made shorter videos so trying to navigate how to create engaging content on a much larger scale is a little bit of a challenge for me. I do think that since there has yet to be a recap on the 2023 Rangers season I think that there is a high likelihood this is going to be something really special for the Rangers fanbase and hopefully be something really well received too.

Will, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Will Raines, and in April of 2024 I created an Instagram account called Rangers Savant. Since the page’s inception, I’ve amassed almost 11,000 followers across both Instagram and TikTok and post 2-4 times a week about the Texas Rangers. I cover current topics, hidden storylines, and really any and all things about the team.

I’ve been working as a digital marketing director for 3 years and figured that taking what I’ve learned in my career and applying it to something I’m passionate could turn into something really neat. I would have never expected for it to have recieved as much traction and attention that it has right now, but I’m thankful for where I am at right now and even more thrilled to see how it grows in the future.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

Being able to express myself and my interests in a way that is unique to who I am is the purest form of self-appreciation. Finding what we’re supposed to pursue in life is challenging, but being able to showcase expertise and creativity about something you care for is something that is just really special about being human.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My only goal with this account is to have fun and make content about something that has meant the world to me for over half of my lifetime. I haven’t made a single dollar from my content, and while I know that will come in the future, it’s never been a driving force because it’s not about the monetization to me. It’s about the self expression, the pursuit of creativity, and being able to find joy in the journey of making something.
