We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Wild the Coyote . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Wild the Coyote below.
Wild the Coyote , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you have an agent or someone (or a team) that helps you secure opportunities and compensation for your creative work? How did you meet you, why did you decide to work with them, why do you think they decided to work with you?
Aside from my agent that has helped my music into TV shows like Yellowstone and The Mayor of Kingstown, I was fortunate to sign my first record deal in 2023 with OneRPM and enter that level of the business to elevate things. Other than that I’ve been completely Independant for the last 10 years of my career.
Wild the Coyote , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hey Im Wild the Coyote, a murderfolk and outlaw country singer/songwriter from Los Angeles Ca now living in Nashville Tn. My career started to take off and get on the radar once my music was placed on TV shows like Yellowstone and The Mayor of Kingstown. I’ve been putting out music and touring North America for the last 10 years and have been trailblazing through the music scene with a new dark sound that every music fan should hear. I recently signed with record label, OneRPM and will be releasing my new EP, Nothing. Nobody. on July 14 2023 !
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
During the making of my upcoming album, Nothing. Nobody. I had to not unlearn but change my perspective on who I was, what I was doing and who was I doing it for. I told myself that I had nothing and nobody, and that’s when I really started to work like an artist that had nothing to lose. Check out the album when I comes out on July 14th to get the full story on that.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
To quote the living legend Rick Rubin, “the audience comes last” . I have to genuinely think that way to best authenticate my music and my brand. But obviously all love and appreciation to the audience.
