We were lucky to catch up with Whitney Scott recently and have shared our conversation below.
Whitney , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry.
The country girl trend is coming back in full force! I’ve loved being able To take a style and make it country. Think Fringe… and more (fringe, fringe , fringe) and dress it up!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am Whitney Kay Scott, a mother, wife and daughter of the one true king (Jesus). When my husband of 10 years, Brian Scott was racing in NASCAR I found myself to always be asked about my outfits and decided it was a good time to start sharing more about how I style myself. I started a blog in 2014 and shared my favorite clothing, items and gadgets. I had such a fun time expressing my style and working with local Boutiques to showcase their collections. Many amazing fashion shows and modeling adventures were had during that time! Once my husband was ready to retire from NASCAR and move back to Idaho, we
Packed up and moved across the country! Although I thought I was ready, my heart and mind must have subconsciously felt very different. In 2016
I had my first panic
Attack which lead to a major depression. I was so confused and had no idea how to handle such confusing emotions! It was a hard time for all of my family. But through the grace of God and understanding family I was able
To
Get back up on my feet. Once we moved to
Idaho I was determined to share with others the struggles of anxiety disorder… I knew what it felt like to feel so alone and didn’t want anyone else to have that pain. I ran for Mrs. Idaho and secured the title as Mrs. Idaho 2020 where I made it my mission to advocate for mental health! It was hard during my reign to advocate as much as I had wished during covid, but thankful
To social media I was able to touch and reach many people struggling. Even people sharing I’ve helped save their life’s! It was a blessing the lord gave me that opportunity but I was ready to pass the crown to the next queen. Since my days of Mrs. Idaho I’ve continued to share my outfits and farm life via social media. It’s so fun that cowgirl
Style is the “it”
Thing right now bc that’s how I dress at my core!

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Being authenticly me. I realize not everyone wants to watch a video of me blow during my fluffy chicken and that’s ok! I love sharing my fashion but farm life is what makes me smile and has made me grown the most in the last years.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
When I get to meet people in person who tell me “ I know this may be weird, but I just love following and your style”! These days comments and likes are not like they used to be. So many accounts are lost and filtered and many people pay to have fake followers so it’s hard for us small accounts who have worked hard for every follower! It makes me realize I do have an impact and I’m thankful for those moments
