We recently connected with Whitney + Jared Noble and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Whitney + Jared, thanks for joining us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
We want our clients to feel seen and heard, and of course appreciated. If it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t have a business at all! Whether it’s a birthday card in the mail, a house warming gift, or running carloads of donations on the house we know it’s the little things that mean the most.
We are about to drive to a client over an hour away to make room for a new sewing machine, so she can get back to the work that she’s been unable to do because of the state of her space. We’re not taking payment until after so she can get back on her feet. Her gratitude was palpable. Our hearts won’t let us leave someone hanging if it’s within our means. In the words of Marie Forleo, “everything is figureoutable” and when love is the motivation it’s always worth it.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I (Whitney) was living in Los Angeles in a teeny studio apartment and absolutely loved just being home and listening to music and moving my furniture and things around to make my space as efficient and aesthetically pleasing as possible. I didn’t have the funds to buy anything new, and loved the challenge of using what I already had to make the best of my little corner of the world. I was approaching burnout from doing the stereotypical Hollywood hustle of auditioning and working in hospitality and any other odd jobs I could find, and thought why not pursue both of my passions and help other people organize their homes and do the same for them. Alas, Positiv Space was born. I also studied psychology in college and thought that combination of skill sets would compliment each other quite well.
Fast forward to now, the business is still operating in California, but we brought it to Columbus where Jared is from and working together has been a dream come true. Our varying skill sets compliment each other very well. I’m better at micro-organizing and holding space emotionally for clients and Jared is amazing at macro-organizing and any of the handy work of assembling furniture or hanging new hooks, shelving etc. I dream it and he makes it a reality.
What sets us apart from other home organizing businesses is that we offer our clients a very unique organizing experience and make the process as enjoyable as possible including fun playlists or calming soundscapes if that floats their boat. We also know that not everyone wants labels and plastic containers all over their homes, so we really create custom solutions that make home feel like home.
We are very sensitive to clients unique needs and situations. A lot of our clients express feelings of shame and embarrassment over the state of their home, so we want to make them feel safe in their space. There’s usually lots of laughs, maybe some tears, but it can be an extremely cathartic experience as they process their past. We give our clients a fresh start that some of them didn’t believe was possible for them.
We are most proud of the special relationships we form with our clients and the opportunity to repurpose donated items to help the greater good and support our community.

How’d you meet your business partner?
Jared and I actually met on a movie set. We were co-stars in the feature film Cellphone that was just released this February 2024 and there was an undeniable instant connection. The film shot in Chillicothe, Ohio, and I am so glad it brought me to this beautiful new life I have here. Outside of acting, we both have this urge to help people and this business really does change lives, one home at a time.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
My personal journey with mental health has shown my resilience more than anything I have ever experienced. I live with bipolar disorder and navigating the highs and lows and doctors appointments and the trials and tribulations of finding the right medications and best daily routine has been a tough road, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. My journey has given me an overflowing abundance of compassion and a new found wisdom and it’s helped me realize how invaluable a home that supports you and your daily functioning is. I have struggled to find solutions to my own problems, so that our clients don’t have to. I feel especially honored to help clients who are struggling with their mental health whether it’s bipolar disorder, ADHD, depression, anxiety or are just navigating a difficult time in their life. I hope my resilience can inspire hope for the people around me.
