On June 4 2022 I experienced any Business Owner’s worst nightmare, my Kit and equipment was stolen out of my car. They broke into my car and stole EVERYTHING!
I felt completely broken and empty as this was all of the products and tools I use to provide a living for myself and 2 Daughters. It was also hurt me to my core because I invested so much into my kit from the ground up with No hand outs!
After hearing about the situation My friend Emore Campbell, a Wedding Industry Colleague turned Friend decided to start a Go Fund me page for me. This resulted into my community showing completely out for me and blessing me with everything I lost to rebuild my kit and start over.
I received TRIPLE in donations from the amount that I needed to replace everything. On top of all the money and new makeup I received, the words encouragement, messages and prayers that I got from people that I didn’t even know, simply blew my mind. I felt so strong and powerful even in the midst of losing everything because my friends , family and community truly UPLIFTED me during that time.
Thinking about it all over again still gives me chills and I am so Grateful!
What the Devil meant for evil God definitely turned it into good, I am a Living Testimony.

My name is Whitney Elise and I am a Licensed Esthetician and Professional Makeup Artist located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte,NC! Although I’m currently living the Queen City Life I will forever be a little Southern Belle reigning from Charleston, SC! Charleston is where my love for Beauty began.
As a young girl, I watched my Grandmother do hair in her salon from sun up to sun down. It was so inspiring to witness the change of confidence of the women who sat in her chair and to see my grandma make woman feel beautiful! I loved seeing the transformation, but the best part for me was when she spun them around to reveal their final look in the mirror. The expression on their faces were priceless to me, and I wanted to make woman feel that same exact way one day
Beauty is hands down my purpose here on Earth! I provide Luxury Bridal Makeup to Premium Brides and I also specialize in Full Body Waxing and Skincare treatments. I am so glad that I decided to follow God’s calling on my life and serve in my purpose because I am now truly Fulfilled doing what I love most, providing Beauty Therapy for woman
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Integrity hands down. Just doing people right and treating them good. I don’t think people understand the power of Word of Mouth! It still holds more value than any other marketing strategy.
Do right by your clients and I promise they will tell the world about you!
Have you ever had to pivot?
Covid was absolutely a time where as a Business Owner I had to pivot because it was the case of sink or swim and sinking was definitely not an option for me.
This downtime allowed have time to dive deep into my business and evaluate what was working and what wasn’t.
I took a look closely at my client and target audience and launched my 1:1 trainings and offering Makeup classes for the Everyday woman to help them learn how to do their own Natural makeup look.
This was a success and truly helped to build the confidence in so many Woman!
