We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Whit Randall. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Whit below.
Whit, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
When I was pregnant, I struggled to find quality products I actually wanted in my home. The patterns were wrong and the colors didn’t fit. The ones I did like were too expensive to justify their purchase based on the short time they would be used. I was rapidly becoming aware of the big carbon footprint left by these tiny baby feet.
I wanted things that were multifunctional and could grow with my family. I wanted to offset that outsized carbon footprint by using only recycled materials.
My mission is to create quality products from recycled textiles that seamlessly blend into my customers’ esthetic. Juice Box Jungle is multifunctional and stylish so my customers feel that parenthood complements their lifestyle.
Juice Box Jungle is committed to weaving a sustainable legacy for modern families.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hey my name is Whit. I wear many hats in my life, but the ones I’m most proud of are artist and mother. My business, Juice Box Jungle, offers quality textile goods handcrafted from recycled materials. These one-of-a-kind items are good for the planet while adding color and uniqueness to people’s lives.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Juice Box Jungle is still a baby compared to other businesses!
When I started 1.5 years ago, I would sew during my daughter’s naptime. She’s starting preschool in September and that means big things for Juice Box Jungle. With accessible childcare, I can take my business to the next level.
One big milestone was selling my 100th tote bag this year. That means 100 people on the planet have my bag, which makes me really happy!
I’m truly still amazed at how far I’ve come as a one woman operation.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One story that comes to mind is from a few months ago when I had a big order due. My partner had just left for a long work stint, and our daughter was having a tough time adjusting. I found myself trying to juggle it all—comforting her, managing the household, and keeping my business afloat. There were moments when I felt like I was being pulled in so many directions at once.
One night, after she finally got to sleep, I sat down to work, completely exhausted. As I started stitching, I realized I was making mistakes because I was so tired. I had to rip out the stitches and start over. It felt like a metaphor for my life at that moment—constantly redoing things because nothing was going smoothly.
But in that moment of frustration, I also found a bit of resilience. I reminded myself why I started my business in the first place: to create something meaningful with my hands and to show my daughter that it’s possible to pursue your passions, even when it’s hard. I decided to give myself permission to take things slow, to focus on progress rather than perfection.
I worked in small increments, squeezing in time whenever I could—early in the morning before my daughter woke up, during nap times, and late at night. It wasn’t easy, and there were times when I wanted to give up and throw a tantrum. But I kept going, and eventually, I completed that order.
The experience taught me that resilience isn’t about doing everything perfectly all at once. It’s about finding ways to keep moving forward, even when the path is tough. It’s about giving yourself grace, understanding that some days will be harder than others, but every baby step counts.
