Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Wendy Boisrond. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Wendy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
My hope is to leave a story behind that will motivate anyone going through a tough time. From the bottom to the top, with guidance and humbleness. Dreams do come true, one should never stop trying until one reaches their goals.

Wendy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Wendy Valerie Boisrond, 2nd child of family of four. My home was blessed with Christian parents who lead us with love and patience. My mother Yoli, being my role model, never stopped to amaze me. Her love for food and serving others regardless if it is for free or not was beyond me. With grace and pride, she would serve either 2 guests or 500 guests with the same energy and love. In my adolescent era, I knew I wanted to mirror her, my first catering gig was at 16yrs old, my mother traveled and I ended up leading her team. My first success in the catering world, I was thrilled and excited.
Fat forward traveling to the US, I graduated from ATC in Atlanta, GA with a degree in Culinary arts and nutrition. Fast forward, I gave birth to my prince De, who loves to cook as well. Cooking for others is more than just putting ingredients together. Have you experienced, following a recipe step by step and it comes out differently?
Pour love into it and you’ll be amazed. I always dreamed of opening a restaurant, years went by and I kept looking for a huge site, to accommodate seating , a bar and more. In the same token, being a single mother, in school , finding the capital to open the restaurant of my dreams seemed more and more impossible. I went back to school for my nursing degree, again to cater to others bring a smile on my face. I started my savings with $10 and eventually felt confident to search for a site. Little did I know, I didnt have enough money and my journey would be so rocky. I opened the doors to my takeout back in Movember 2024 and hope to keep it open… the struggles are immense, from finding staffs to pay the bills. My resilience from my Haitian roots is keeping me alive, confident and consistent. I shall rise, my business will grow and I will ripe what I sew. The message is this” Never quit ” Trust God and keep going. I am back to school for my Master’s degree in Nursing, I work full time at the takeout restaurant, I work partime at the hospital, and I am being the best mother I could be to my prince. Consistency is key to success!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My craft definitely helped me build my reputation. The taste and presentation of my dishes are unique. I believe in a great service, amazing energy and great vibe will set you up for success.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth. A friend tells a friend has been my blessing. I am beyond grateful for for day 1 customers and now growing family. The support is real and consistent.
