Wayne, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
To create a real estate brokerage that is not just based on transactions but relationships. To create an environment for agents that it is not a competition but one that we all work together as a team and collaboration is the key to our success.

“The idea for The Agency in Oklahoma started in a driveway—literally. Wyatt and I were working to close a deal on a home; he was representing the seller, and I was representing the buyer. As we stood there, pressure washing the driveway, we were both focused on the same goal: doing what was best for our clients to get the deal closed.
That moment stuck with us. We realized that real estate should always be about collaboration, not competition. What if we built a brokerage where every agent worked together with that same mindset? A place where clients didn’t just get one agent but the full support of an entire team?
That’s exactly what we created with The Agency. We’re a boutique brokerage with a global reach, but more importantly, we’re a family. Our agents are the heart of everything we do, and we make sure they feel supported, valued, and truly part of something bigger. Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Relationships Over Transactions
Over the past 18 years in real estate, I’ve learned that referrals don’t just come from closing deals—they come from relationships. No matter the price of the home, whether it’s $100,000 or $1 million, I believe every client deserves to feel valued, heard, and prioritized.
I often say I never want to get “commission breath”—I’m not focused on how much I’ll make on a deal, but rather on what’s truly best for my client. If I do that, everything else falls into place.
The late Zig Ziglar said it best: “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” That’s the foundation of my business. When you put the client first, they remember—and they tell their friends and family.
That’s how relationships turn into referrals, and that’s why I love what I do.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Staying true to myself and being honest with people has been the foundation of my career. I believe that real estate is more than just buying and selling homes—it’s about relationships, trust, and doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Over the years, I’ve learned that success isn’t just measured by the number of deals closed but by the respect and trust earned along the way. Whether working with clients or fellow agents, I always try to treat people the way I would want to be treated. Every transaction is an opportunity to help someone, solve a problem, or guide them through an important decision in their life.
I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Real estate is a business built on people, and I’m grateful for every relationship I’ve made. My goal is simple: to continue learning, growing, and serving with integrity, making sure that each client and colleague knows they are valued and treated with respect.
