Warren, appreciate you joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
In 2017, I launched my first podcast, The Passion Playbook. At the time, I was eager to share meaningful conversations and insights, but I quickly ran into a hard truth—I didn’t know how to monetize my brand. I had the content, the passion, and the drive, but I lacked the strategic knowledge to turn it into a sustainable business. That experience left me with a lingering regret. Not because I failed, but because I knew there was a way to make it work—I just didn’t have the blueprint.
That regret became my fuel. I wasn’t just determined to figure it out for myself—I wanted to ensure that others with a voice and a vision wouldn’t have to struggle the way I did. That’s when the idea for Black Pyramid Media was born.
The first step was spotting the gap. In Knoxville’s media space, there was a clear need for brand development, digital monetization, and high-quality podcast production. Businesses and content creators had stories to tell, but many lacked the expertise to build their platforms strategically. Seeing this need, I made the decision to turn my lessons into a solution—a media company that didn’t just produce content but empowered brands to grow and monetize their presence effectively.
I started by developing the business plan—researching every angle of the industry and leveraging every resource I could find. I dug into YouTube, used ChatGPT to refine my approach, hired freelancers on Fiverr to fill in knowledge gaps, and sought out guidance from experienced mentors. From there, I began building an A-team—a diverse, talented group of creatives and strategists who believed in the vision. While assembling the team, I simultaneously worked on defining our core processes and refining our unique service offering—what would set us apart from other media companies?
Once the strategy was clear, it was time to invest in execution. I used income from my day job to fund our startup capital, purchasing essential equipment like cameras, lighting, video switchers, and high-quality audio gear. I also invested in software tools like Zoho, Google Workspace, and Airtable to streamline our operations and manage projects effectively.
With everything in place—team, tools, and strategy—we launched Black Pyramid Media, targeting our defined buyer personas and leveraging social platforms to generate buzz. From day one, we positioned ourselves not just as a media agency, but as a brand partner—helping businesses and creators scale their digital presence with brand development, content monetization, and operations automation leveraging AI.
Starting Black Pyramid Media wasn’t just about building a business—it was about creating a blueprint for success that others could follow. I took my past failures, turned them into lessons, and built a company that helps others turn their voices into impact. And we’re just getting started.

For those who may not know me, my name is Warren Green, and I am the Founder & CEO of Black Pyramid Media—a media agency that helps brands, creators, and entrepreneurs build, scale, and monetize their digital presence. But my journey into this space didn’t start with business ownership—it started with a passion for storytelling and a lesson in missed opportunities.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Pivoting has defined my journey—each shift shaping my growth in life, career, and business.
In 2019, I made my first major pivot, moving from Orlando to Knoxville for a fresh start. After working various roles in admin, sales, maintenance, and manual labor, I was ready to change my career trajectory. That shift led me into IT, where I built expertise for nearly a decade in data management, business analysis, and automation—skills that would later transform my entrepreneurial approach.
The next pivot came with Black Pyramid Media. Initially focused on podcast brand amplification, I soon realized that content alone wasn’t enough—brands needed sustainable systems to scale and monetize. This led to expanding BPM’s services from podcasting to creative content and automation, merging my expertise in media, business analysis, and AI-driven solutions.
Now, BPM helps brands create high-quality content, streamline operations, and implement automation to drive revenue. Each pivot reinforced that adaptability is key to long-term success—not about starting over, but evolving with intention.
