We were lucky to catch up with Walter Herron recently and have shared our conversation below.

Walter, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

My initial thought process behind starting my business was to create affordable home improvement business. As a first time homeowner, there where a lot concerns of how to maintain the integrity my home if anything should break. Those uncertainties pushed me to work countless hours over the past 15 years to continuous learn and help customers. My goal, is to educate every customer to become more confident to understand the basics of home improvement. As a construction instructor with each client we like provide informative take-aways and affordable shopping techniques to help save money. Currently, Enterprise Interiors LLC offers services of remodeling, roofing, and concrete construction. With each service our team takes pride effective client communication and scope of work performed.

Walter, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Well my career within residential & commercial construction has been a exciting ride. I like to believe, our belief in Southern values and work ethic set us apart from our competitors. Professionally, I’ve been working in construction industry 15+ years. As a graduate of University of Alabama at Birmingham construction management program has prepared me to have the academic fortitude to evolve with the industry standards. It wasn’t easy transitioning from my urban studies to the field of construction. During my undergraduate years at Alabama A&M University is where I found the interest in developing sustainable communities. I’ve faced many uphill challenges while competing within the construction industry. I’ve faced the challenges of growing the our business against the established competitors. I’ve learned as a small business owner, it is important to network and offer a solid product for clients to stand on. I would like share the Enterprise Interiors LLC experience for everyone to enjoy. Our brand stands offering knowledgeable and affordable techniques to assist our clients. We offer services in interior design, residential/ commercial remodeling, and concrete.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

In 2021, There was a time when I pivot in business, career, and life to adapt and advance professionally. In 2021, our business as an organization we were seeing increased growth and capturing more deals. However, the increase in work caused our business to expand exponentially. The quick growth had affected the quality of execution of each project. To keep up with the volume work we decided to use temporary work offices to help fill the employment gap. In turn, we learned that we could not sacrifice the quality of work by hiring individuals based on applications or employment recommendations. In turn, we made the cognitive effort to work with each team member and offer training opportunities to build the team within without sacrificing the quality of work. In life, during that our team partner decided to pursue other business ventures. We wrestled with questions of should we continue and what services should we provide. Thus, we created another avenue of to expand our bandwidth offering interior design and lighting packages. This opportunity opened doors for our organization to participate in creative spaces along with Arteriors Interior Design, Home Depot, Sherwin Williams, and local boutiques. In life, we had to pivot understanding that when one door closes another will open.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Enterprise Interiors values remaining operating in integrity with our customers. We stand on Southern values of keeping our verbal commitments as well in executing the scope of work. Our quality of work has been the credible piece of our success. We believe that when we do one project correctly our name with proceed itself. Simply we believe in the dignity of simplicity to engage and retain our clientele.
