Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Wally-B. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Wally-B, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I feel like I started at the appropriate time. I feel like I was guided by the universe into my solo career. I had to learn a lot before I got fully started into this music business and I feel like it started at the perfect time. From the young age of 5 I was in the choir. I then transitioned into directing the gospel choir at my university, Lincoln University, PA, and going on tour with them really helped me learn a lot about music and touring
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got into the music industry by networking. I am going to promote myself and at the time. I had just recorded an album and wanted to get he word out that I am a recording artist. I noticed that I had to put myself out there in order to be known.
I own my own music and now Crown That Entertainment LLC which my business operates out of. We provide Music and Visual entertainment services.
What sets me apart from others is my art is original and different from what is currently out in music. I am adaptable and able to create a wide range of musical art.
I am proud of my consistency the most and I want my Galaxies(fans/supporters) to know that I am very serious about my art and I love to surprise and entertain people in the most beautiful way.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Yes! I literally had to start from scratch because I got hacked last year and knew I had my work cut out for me to rebuild all the real followers that was taken from me. So I took full advantage of every performance and travel opportunity I had. I networked to rebuild my platform from scratch. Network is truly net worth in this business. Those artist and people you meet are what build your platform. You also work with other artist to combine fans and gain new ones. It’s all a game of putting yourself out there and branding yourself. You have to not be afraid to put yourself out there.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
This entire journey is a game of patience a lot of the time. So is life. It took me 3 years of networking and learning the business to now finally say I am streaming worldwide. It look learning from my mistakes and picking myself up when I thought I failed but in reality I learned a beautiful lesson. Which is to never give up! Rejection is redirection and some doors were nor meant to be open. However the right doors will. So I am a product of resilience. Standing the test of time and constantly growing because only resilient make it in this business. Quitters don’t!
