We were lucky to catch up with W.I.S.E. Women recently and have shared our conversation below.
W.I.S.E. Women, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Launching the podcast was a risk because it sounded absolutely crazy to us, but we trusted that we know the voice of God when He is speaking to us and so we knew we should and could do it. We had an idea, but we did not have a budget or blueprint for how to launch a podcast. Much to our delight, two months after our launch we have already exceeded over 100 views on one of the platforms we utilize. Our goal was just to give glory to God through our life experiences, but it seems that others are interested in hearing our stories as well.
W.I.S.E. Women, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We became podcasters through a divine lunch discussion. While sitting at a restaurant talking, one of our members felt that the dynamic way we discussed would be a great way to share God with others. When she mentioned it to the other two members they were shocked because they had previously had several discussions about this very thing during a phone conversation. We believed that this was what God wanted us to do and we needed to be obedient to that prompting and to move forward without delay.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Our goal or mission is to show our listeners that whether you are single, married, divorced, have a college degree, have only a high school diploma, live at home with your parents, are a single parent or whatever your demographic may be; God loves you and we do too! Our mission is to spread the love of God to the world; no matter the race or ethnicity, gender, relationship status, education or career status. We love God. We love His people. We want to share Him with you. We are able to connect with many different people because we all share the same Father and at our core we are more similar than we are different.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Our social media audience is derived from networking. We shared the podcast with our friends and asked them to share with their family, friends and even their enemies. People liking and sharing our episodes is how our subscription base has grown.
