We caught up with the brilliant and insightful VyShawn King a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
VyShawn, appreciate you joining us today. So, one thing many business owners consider is donating a percentage of sales or profits to an organization or cause. We’d love to hear your thoughts and the story behind how and why you chose the cause or organization you donate to.
I feel that, when it comes to giving percentages of your sales to the right person or right calls it can benefit. And I’m not talking benefit your numbers, benefit your pockets. I’m talking it’ll benefit you, how you are seen, how you see yourself, how you wake up in the morning and feel! A lot of people need what we constantly have, what we are constantly given. So I feel that it is nothing to break off or “bless” another or an cause! With that being said I would love to use right now he is a time to let the world know that G.F.M Records will be giving 15% of each and every sale made to an charity! We haven’t chosen exactly which one ye, but we have been doing research since May!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am the youngest to ever do it. I came up in a small city, small minded people, with (what it feels like) even smaller Profit. But, around 15 or 16 years old I found a passion for marketing and promoting. Now, of course I had to begin doing these things heavily because of my music career But I got a feeling one day that I could go along way with marketing. Four months I ran test trying to see what works and what doesn’t. And by doing that I “accidentally” created a buzz for myself! I know right doesn’t it sound crazy! From there it has been constant work, no matter what aspect it is in I give my 100% effort forth doing so.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media is tricky, you can post one day, go viral. The next day, no one is paying attention. But it it really has everything to do with conquering the algorithm. If you know how to make an app keep your post at the front of everyone’s feed then you can dominate any social media platform. All social media’s have this algorithm. From Facebook, Snapchat, to Instagram, to Twitter and so on. It is an AI system Pushing some peoples post back I am pushing some forward. It’s all about making the best of where you begin. Let’s say you start posting online, you won’t get as many likes as you would if you had already been posting, regardless of how many friends or followers you have. When and platform sees you bringing in attention (making them more money) They are going to have you at the top of the fee loud and bold every time!
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
The key, don’t be afraid. If you have a business and you know how to run it, don’t let Phil from training try to talk you into doing differently!Because if you are a management, later, or have any high position then you know there anything that’s done wrong will be your fault. And it’s not even just in there reason. Whenever you know you have anything that will help your business, then put it to use. I know plenty of business owners right now that have the key to their own success, but can’t find the door! truthfully I’m not all the way there, everyone has work to do. But that’s the main thing we need comes to running or managing any kind of business, organization, anything! Always stand your ground.
