Vyan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

In my final year of college, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, but my heart wasn’t truly in it. My grades were lackluster, and I felt lost. While my peers were securing jobs and planning their futures, I grappled with borderline depression.
Then, “Old Town Road” burst onto the scene, and I discovered that it was produced by a young talent from the Netherlands—someone my age. This revelation sparked my interest in music production, and I delved into YouTube tutorials. That’s when I first encountered FL Studio and began my journey into music production. Initially, it was a hobby, but I soon fell in love with the creative process, realizing that this was my true calling.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’m Vyan, a passionate music producer from Udaipur, India.
My journey into the music industry began five years ago, fueled by curiosity and a love for sound.
As a college student, I played the flute. My hobby soon transformed into a full-blown obsession when I stumbled upon music production tutorials on YouTube.
I dove headfirst into FL Studio, exploring beats, melodies, and sound design. The creative process consumed me.
On my beat store I have a diverse catalog of over 250 beats. From trap to old school hip hop, my beats resonate with artists worldwide.
On my YouTube channel, I share beat making tutorials and cookups. From drum patterns to mixing techniques, I share my knowledge with aspiring producers.
Recently, I released sample packs for fellow creators. These packs are infused with authenticity and inspiration.
What sets me apart is that I collaborate closely with artists, understanding their vision and crafting beats that amplify their lyrical essence.
Despite setbacks and self-doubt, I persist. My consistency fuels my growth, and I encourage others to embrace the journey.
Recently reaching 1500 Subscribers milestone on my YouTube channel was a proud moment. It reflects the community we’ve built—a space for learning and creativity.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

In the West, there are stereotypes around the people of my country — their culture, their pursuits, and their artistic expressions. But I refuse to be confined by these notions.
India’s hip hop scene is on an exponential rise, fueled by raw talent. Yet, amidst this surge, only a handful of brown artists have truly global audiences.
My vision extends far beyond my homeland. I want to collaborate with artists from every corner of the world. Together, we’ll create songs that bridge cultures.
Through my music, I aim to offer a genuine representation of my country and its people. Not the clichés or the exoticized versions, but the raw, unfiltered truth—the struggles, the celebrations, and the resilience.
I want my music to be heard in every corner, connecting people.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding thing about being an artist is that I get to vent my emotions through the music I make. There are times when life’s rough and things aren’t going well. We all have our struggles but music is the one thing that keeps me sane. Even if I made no money from it, I’d still do it and keep doing it for the rest of my life because art transcends time. In future, people might remember me from the music that I make today even after I’m long gone. It’s the only thing that lives beyond our breaths.
