Voyce, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump back to the first dollar you earned as a creative? What can you share with us about how it happened?

My first dollar earned as a creative was at the Fillmore in Silver Spring MD. I was opening up for Jacques and it was a cool experience to be a part of. I had to sell tickets and I got a percentage of what I sold. My ticket sales were so great, I sold all my tickets, and had a blast during my 20 min set.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

For those who are getting to know me, my name is Voyce. I am RnbTrap artist located in the DMV area. I am originally from Georgia and you can tell by the way I speak with that southern accent. My music consists of pain, love, and a good story if you are into that. I most proud of my fans I have now and the way they encourage me to keep pursuing my dream. Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today. My breaks is Hear Me Now LLC. I created this brand because I believe everyone has a voice and should be heard.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

Be there for them and actively listen to the artist. There are a lot of times we are in a situation where we don’t feel heard. That brings a lot of artist down. On the other hand, this is a dog eat dog world. This is not made for the weak. Another way to support us is to keep it real. Tell me how you really feel about my product and we will respect you more than you know.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish I knew more people back then. It would have been easier to connect the dots and not being pushed around like the outsider lol.
