We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Vladimir Lebrun. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Vladimir below.
Vladimir, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
First, you have to absolutely and unequivically love what you do so that it never feels like you’re working. Passion and confidence in your related skill or talent can take you far, you just have to take the time to intentionally manifest a legacy that can produce nothing but pure happiness for you and those around you.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Founded in 2013, Chef Indeed is the work of founder and lead chef, Vladimir Lebrun. Having grown up surrounded by festive and elaborate Caribbean traditions centered on food, Vlad always had a keen awareness of food’s power to unite and bring joy.
He went on to work in several restaurants to learn the trade, and formalized his training at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Boston. Vladimir and his team at Chloe’s Restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, was awarded, Uber Eats “Best Caribbean restaurant in New York 2016”, and was a grill cook when he was part of Michelin Rated French Louie located in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
He has combined all of his experiences into founding Chef Indeed. Vlad leads a fun and energetic staff whose goal is to turn every meal into phenomenal culinary experiences. With the balanced fusion of his Caribbean heritage, and training in classical French techniques, Vlad and his staff will turn your table into a place of discovery and delight.
Vladimir is a Food Network Regular having shown his talent on Shows such as “Cooks Vs Cons” Season 3 Episode 1″Pumpkin Thumpin”, and becoming Chopped Champion on Food Network’s Chopped Martha Stewart rules.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Not to trust everyone. In your journey, you’ll come to find out that not everyone wants to see you succeed, let alone happy. I found that out the hard way and suffered a lot from it. Now I am more conscious of those around me and I’m sharper because of it.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I started doing a lot of free events and offering low priced services after I graduated in order for people to try my style of cooking. Eventually, after building a reputable history I was able to land big events and even appear on the Food Network which catapulted my career.
