We were lucky to catch up with Vivienne Tran recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Vivienne thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Our goal is trying to reduce plastic waste by serving our boba tea in glass bottles in stead of plastic cups.
Customers can bring back our bottles to refill at discount price. Beside, customer can also use our bottles for canning, decorating, serving different type or beverages to guess at home.
Vivienne, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
In 2014, I ventured into the world of boba tea, and by 2019, I began serving drinks in uniquely designed glass bottles. These bottles feature seasonal designs, often revolving around Corgis, puppies, and anime themes. The inspiration for my artistic journey stemmed from the loss of two beloved dogs in 2018, driving me to embark on a sketching adventure.
Collaborating with my graphic design team, I took an active role in sketching the artwork for our bottle designs. It’s been a rewarding process to contribute my creativity to the visual elements of our boba tea brand.
I want to encourage our customers to integrate our tea bottles into their daily lives at home, whether for hydration, canning, or as decorative items, adds a versatile touch to their routine. It’s a delightful way to extend the use and enjoyment of our uniquely designed bottles beyond the boba tea experience.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
In the quiet aftermath of my two beloved dogs passing away, I channeled my grief into a creative endeavor. With every stroke of my pen, I poured my heart into capturing their essence, immortalizing their playful spirit in my drawings. These heartfelt illustrations became more than just art – they became memories etched onto stickers and delicately adorned glass bottles.
Each sticker, a tiny masterpiece, carried the joy of their wagging tails and the warmth of their presence. People far and wide embraced these stickers, finding comfort and companionship in the familiar eyes of my dogs. The glass bottles, too, became vessels of memories. As I delicately transferred my drawings onto them, they transformed into elegant keepsakes, reminding me of the love we shared.
In these creations, my dogs lived on. Their spirit danced among the lines of my drawings, bringing smiles to those who discovered their story. Through stickers and glass bottles, I found a way to keep their memory alive, sharing the love and happiness they brought into my life with the world.
Any advice for managing a team?
Maintaining trust and honesty within the team, regardless of its size, is a valuable principle. I approach of viewing employees as part of my family and supporting them, especially considering many are students, demonstrates a commendable commitment to their growth. Teaching customer relations and fostering a culture of mutual assistance adds a meaningful dimension to their learning experience.
