We were lucky to catch up with VIVIAN FIERCE recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, VIVIAN thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
It all started with my dog, “Nacho.” He’s a micro pupfluencer who paved the way to connect me to the dog community. I came from the music industry working in radio, label, agency, and working some of the biggest festivals in the US.
I started attending dog events and realized there was a need to showcase more quality products and brands that I would give to my dog. While researching and using my experience from the festival world, I was able to bridge the two and create festival-like events for our pups. This is where Pawsitive MGMT was born.
Not only do we focus on events, but we work with entrepreneurs in the pet industry specializing in organic community building and marketing optimization.
Currently, we are planning our 2nd annual “PUP-O-WEEN” due to the success of our very first event that sold out at LA Historic Park. We have summer events happening now at the ROW DTLA, “DOG DAYS.” For more information follow us at @pawsitivemgmt.
How’d you meet your business partner?
My business partner is Bonnie, and we met through a company called RxESCUESKIN, a skincare brand that gives back to animal welfare. One day we started working on projects outside of the company, and realized how well we worked together. With her savvy business knowledge and her love for her dogs Oreo & Mozzie, we decided to create something pawsitive in our dog community.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
While the world was shutting down, I was getting fewer gigs to work on projects in the music industry when a dog brand reached out for help with their content. Throughout the pandemic, I started picking up more gigs to work with other pet companies and realized this was something I wanted to do furever. I never knew owning a dog would open my eyes to another world of opportunity. Shout out to my dog @nachocorgo.
