We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Vivian Chung a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Vivian, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
I personally think when people take the time out of their day to show kindness to others is such a beautiful thing. I received a message when I was starting out in music and it said that my music helped them through the toughest of times and they said thank you for making music. The message brought me to tears because that is how I felt and still feel about my favorite artists and why I make and listen to music.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have always been around music ever since I was a little girl! I started classical piano and then started singing. I did choir every year from elementary til high school. I went to Berklee College of Music to pursue vocals but moved to Los Angeles after. I fell in love with EDM and music production and graduated from IO music academy and ICON Collective in 2020.
I think what sets me apart the most from most other DJs and producers is in my live shows, I incorporate a live aspect and sing to my music! And a lot of my music is very emotional. I want to incorporate live screamo, strings and piano in the very near future of my shows
I am most proud of all the wonderful people I have been able to collaborate with. I have a huge catalog of music I haven’t released yet and that is what I am most proud of

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is meeting the beautiful souls throughout the journey! I love meeting you all at my shows, events or even just out and about!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
This was early on in my journey but I did a music video where I wanted to fall into a pool, but the water heater was broken. It was a cold day in Los Angeles, and instead of wasting everyone’s time, to get the shot, I jumped into the freezing water. I couldn’t breathe for a good minute but the shot looked amazing!
