Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vivi Von Welt . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Vivi, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
I feel my work has been misunderstood. A lot of people see boudoir as something that is attention seeking and not a true art form. I believe this happens with men because they tend to sexualize things showing the female body. Now, this is not all men. I want to be clear that there are plenty of men who are not like that. Then there are women who either decide to lose respect for you or completely drop you as a friend. I’ve had 3 old “friends” block me on all media platforms and either don’t answer my calls or texts or just blocked me there as well.
I love modeling boudoir and fashion and creative ideas. I get the most negativity from boudoir shoots. Some see those type is sessions as breaking some kind of moral code. I find that asinine. The human body is beautiful. The human body by itself doesn’t exist to be sexualized. The same goes for boudoir modeling.
I’ve learned a lot through my boudoir experience. I’ve lost at least 10 friends because of it but gained friends and support online and in person. It’s worth it to me no matter what happens. The only problem I have had was one of my daughter’s friends finding me somehow and talking to my daughter at school with the other girls about how I model in no clothes 🤣. So, as my daughter grows up I’ll have to see how to protect her from people poking fun or things like that because I am not stopping what I love.
A huge thing that people misunderstand about starting social media as a model is that I’m simply doing it for attention. That is such a lie. Social media is a way for me to share my art and creativity that a photographer and I have made. It’s the same as someone showing their art at a gallery. My gallery just happens to be online. I can get mischaracterized as an attention seeker.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a married mom of one cutie pie. However, I was wanting more in life. I wanted to create. I finally decided to give modeling a go as I’ve always looked up to photographers and models who can come together and create beautiful images. I kinda just took a dive right into the world and for lack of a better term “wiggled” in and created some space for me in the community.
I do provide services. I often sit for live modeling for art classes. It is so very fun. And oddly, I enjoy the stillness of holding a position. I also have had work where I help a photographer with a vision they have. I am available for both types of work and am always for hire. I believe my look sets me apart from other models providing similar services.
I am most proud of getting into Vogue Italia. I am also most proud of my work ethic. I take all of this extremely serious. This is not a game. This is how I express myself and how I get enjoyment out of life.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
There is such a rewarding feeling when you can sit down with a photographer or different media artist and just enjoy what we’ve done. That team can also include makeup artists, as I do use them sometimes.
When I share my work and people really respond to it, there is a feeling that nothing else brings me.
It’s also rewarding to have inspired men and women to book a shoot with someone. Express themselves and I’ve been told I do inspire people. That is an amazing feeling.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I’ve had many challenges. A lot of times I don’t get to create with certain people either because of my size or how I’m continually trying to perfect my “skills”. When people use size as a reason they won’t work with you…that is painful. I’ve pushed through. I’ve had breaks from being discouraged but I have continued to push through.
