We recently connected with Vitorio Nicholson and have shared our conversation below.
Vitorio, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
A big risk Ive took in life is starting a wine business and starting the vineyard in east Colorado. It was such a big risk due to the fact that one I never grew up with wine or knowing about it and two I had no idea on where to start and how i was going to get started on a vineyard and grow it. Luckily enough for me an old friend of mine who has experience and knowledge with wine; seen what I was wanting to do and wanted to join forces.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Growing up in Denver, Colorado, it’s easy to find creative outlets and cultured hobbies. Vitorio, also known as Vino, is no exception to the influences of the Mile High City. At a prime time of his years, Vitorio has taken on the path of a modern day renaissance man by showcasing music, artistry and culinary expertise.
As a kid, Vitorio was inspired and influenced by music and especially took to hip-hop. As early as 6 years old, he had a walkman CD player and was listening to Lil Bow Wow and Jay-Z. “Hov gave me the influence and style,” Vitorio says, “and Bow Wow gave me the confidence to pursue it young.” He was often surrounded by uncles and cousins who loved to write and record rhymes so the influence was everywhere. You can hear the depth of his love for music in his style of rhyming..
When Vitorio isn’t in the studio creating music, you can find him selling out his ticket count for numerous events ranging from live shows to wine & food happenings. You can also find him on YouTube hosting his show ‘Wine Wednesday with Vino,’ where he indulges in discussions with women who are succeeding their careers fields. In true ladies man style, the interviews are done over the flow of wine, food and live presentations.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
A way that i built my audience on social media was by heavily networking in other cities that are known for hip hop and collaborations with like minded creatives who also had a following and had a similar creative eye and audience that I had.
I also started to up the quality of content that I was putting out and started posting it more frequently.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
After attending and graduating from Los Angeles Film School; I had moved to Atlanta with $1000 only to my name to learn more about the music industry! When I arrived to Atlanta I then landed a engineering position at Quality Control the label and also had started my own radio segment (FreeGameATL) at a station called NURADIO hosted by D4L member “Mook B”. During all of this taking place I was living on my friends couch at his student housing when he was attending MoreHouse College.
