Violet, appreciate you joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.

Oh gosh, where do I begin. I suppose there have been several pivotal moments in my life that shifted my trajectory and led me to where I am and who I have become today. But I will say what knocked me off my feet and opened a huge door for me was the passing of my Mother in 2013, My whole life I have been sensitive and innately aware of energy & Spirit. Most of my life I had spent not understanding these abilities, and gifts if you want to call them that, which ultimately caused me to fear and disregard them. Upon my moms passing and the incredible impact it had on every level of my being, I no longer could turn a blind eye or run from who I was meant to be.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Violet Hategan. I am an evidential Psychic Medium and 6th Generation Traditional Usui Reiki Master Teacher. I work with clients and students around the world and have professionally for the last 6 years. My work is my passion. Through energy work, I hold space for my clients & students to gain a deeper understanding and discovery of their own energetic beings and capacities. Though Mediumship, I assist my clients through holding space for healing, guidance, and closure, for both the living & the passed. For my students, I help them step into empowerment through learning to tap into their own innate gifts & abilities. Through the years I have seen how multifaceted & infinite our souls truly our. It is my personal mission and intention to genuinly support, with integrity & encouragement, every single client & student I get the privilege to work with on their own paths of healing & self discovery.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

It does not matter where you go or who you strive to become, you will always have to face yourself. You are solely responsible for you. But you can take, what many of us in our humaneness may find as a burden, that responsibility and turn it ultimately into empowerment. Because you are stepping into your power though this process of self discovery, development, and healing integration.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Authenticity, transparency, and courage. I’d love to say the path here has just been rainbows & butterflies but it’s also been mud & rainy days. It’s had a bounty of beautiful & fulfilling highs, but I just like everyone else have had to do my own self work and development. I’ve had to get comfortable in discomfort and vulnerability. I’ve had to work through my own fears of being heard & seen to step into my voice. And I absolutely had to learn to let go and surrender. In fact, where I am today took a lot of faith. Faith not just in the Universe, God, Spirit but most importantly faith in myself.
