We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Violet Grae. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Violet below.
Hi Violet , thanks for joining us today. Looking back at the decisions you made early in your career, particularly whether to join a firm or start your own, do you feel you made the right choice for that stage of your career?
When I first stepped into real estate, I already had years of experience running my own business in the music and entertainment world. I’d built Grae Agency LA from the ground up because I believed in creating a space where artists could feel safe, supported, and truly seen — and that experience taught me both the freedom and the weight of leading something entirely on your own.
So when it came to real estate, I knew I wanted to start my journey within a team structure — not because I didn’t know how to lead, but because I wanted to learn. I joined Keller Williams South Bay and became a proud team member of the Kojani Real Estate Group, which has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The culture there emphasizes education, integrity, and collaboration — values that align perfectly with how I’ve always approached artist development and mentorship.
In those early months, it was a balancing act. I was still running my agency, coaching 45 students, and supporting artists on releases — while simultaneously diving headfirst into contracts, escrow timelines, and open houses. But I thrive on growth, and I saw real estate as an extension of what I already did: helping people find “home,” whether that’s in their art or their life.
Looking back, joining a strong, value-driven team was absolutely the right choice. I’m surrounded by people who are as committed to excellence and service as I am, and that’s invaluable when you’re building something sustainable. It’s given me the tools, mentorship, and community to grow in this new chapter — while still allowing me to bring my creativity, empathy, and leadership to the table.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve always lived at the intersection of art and ambition. My career began on stage — I started performing and touring with bands at fifteen, chasing the rush of storytelling through music. Over time, I realized that my real gift wasn’t just performing — it was helping others find their own voice. That realization led me to found Grae Agency LA, a company built to protect, educate, and empower artists in an industry that often forgets its humanity.
At Grae Agency, we represent, coach, and develop artists, influencers, and entrepreneurs — offering everything from performance training and songwriting to brand strategy, negotiation, and career mentorship. We’ve become known as the place where artistry meets advocacy, where people come not just to be managed, but to be understood.
But my work didn’t stop at the stage door. After years of building brands and careers, I found myself drawn to another kind of creation — helping people find home. I became a licensed Realtor® (DRE #02317818) and joined Keller Williams South Bay as part of the Kojani Real Estate Group, bringing the same compassion, intuition, and storytelling I use with artists into real estate. For me, both worlds are about the same thing: listening deeply, connecting authentically, and building something meaningful.
What sets me apart is that I see every client — whether they’re an artist preparing for a record deal or a family buying their first home — as a story in progress. My role is to guide them through the chapters with clarity and care.
I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve built my career on purpose, not just success. I’ve learned that loyalty is earned, not given — and that courage often means creating the thing you wish existed. For me, that’s been a safe, nurturing, and empowering space where people can step fully into who they are — and build a life, or a legacy, that reflects it.
So whether I’m coaching a vocalist, signing a new artist, or handing someone the keys to their dream home, my mission stays the same: to help people feel seen, supported, and inspired to stand on their own stage — and own it.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Keeping in touch with clients and fostering brand loyalty is all about consistency, authenticity, and care. I approach every relationship like a partnership: whether it’s an artist I’m coaching or a family buying a home, I invest in understanding their goals, dreams, and challenges.
For my artists, that means regular check-ins, personalized coaching, and creating resources that help them grow — from career guidance to creative tools — so they know I’m fully invested in their journey. In real estate, it’s the same principle: I stay connected through thoughtful updates, market insights, and genuine conversations, making sure clients feel supported long before and after the transaction closes.
I also make loyalty a two-way street. I celebrate milestones — an album release, a first performance, a home purchase — and I treat each client like they’re part of an extended community. By creating that sense of belonging and trust, people naturally feel seen and valued, which turns one-time clients into lifelong advocates.
Ultimately, I’ve learned that people don’t just stay for results — they stay for the relationship. My brand isn’t just about transactions or projects; it’s about being someone clients can rely on, celebrate with, and trust to guide them through life’s big moments. That’s how loyalty is built: one thoughtful, consistent, authentic connection at a time.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Honestly, the best way I’ve grown my clientele is by just being present and really caring. Whether I’m working with an artist or a family buying a home, I focus on listening — really listening — to what they need, what they dream about, and what keeps them up at night. From there, I show up consistently, whether that’s checking in, offering advice, or celebrating milestones with them.
Referrals and repeat clients naturally follow when people feel seen and supported. I’ve learned that growth isn’t about flashy marketing or pushing for the next deal — it’s about relationships, trust, and showing that I’m here for the long game. People remember when you genuinely care, and that’s the foundation for everything I do.
