We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Vinny Pacifico a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Vinny , appreciate you joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Diving deep into a passion/ chase a dream is one of the scariest yet fulfilling things. I took a huge risk, quit high school football to chase my dream of being a professional wrestler, and I bet on myself. Truly the greatest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Anyone who may feel worried or scared about taking a leap into a dream, you never know unless you try, and to always BET ON YOU.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started training to be a professional wrestler when I was 14. I jumped Into this not knowing what to expect but I have been blessed to come across the Ring of Honor dojo and had the opportunity to learn from some of the best talent in the world. What I’m most proud of is my resiliency and persistence to never give up and to make every single day a stepping stone and to finish each day better than I was yesterday. I’ve had the opportunity to wrestle all over the USA, Canada, recently Japan, and later this year I’ll be returning to the UK. I love traveling and getting to do some amazing things. My hard work and my willingness to do whatever it takes is a huge reason for my success, along with prayer, and surrounding myself with amazing people.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to be able to become one of the best in my craft, and be able to live life on my terms and take care of my family and help others through professional wrestling.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Being able to see my hard work pay off, being able to watch myself on tv or a moment I’ve had go viral online. Also seeing my growth and my vision coming to reality is amazing. I believe a lot of success is based on hard work but also being around great people with the same goals, and being in the right place at the right time.
P.S thinking outside the box is also a great way to stand out.
