We recently connected with Vincent Steinbach and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Vincent, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Growing up, I always loved to create things, whether that was drawing, creating imaginative worlds/characters, and stories. I’ve always loved sci-fi, and as for how I started writing my own novel, it began in 2015 in junior year of high school in my English class, where we read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, I was fascinated by the dystopian genre from then on, which inspired me to write my own novel. I wanted to create something that was unique that it sort of wasn’t done before. So I thought on it, and first thing that popped into mind was some kind of law, and thought on various issues in the world. One of them being overpopulation, I came up with the idea of a law where people are turned into organ-powered robots called Biobots who help the totalitarian military, the NWED (New World Enforcement Department) build upon their plans. And so, using a few numbers from the year George Orwell’s “1984” (1949) was released, “Order 949” was born.
I had pictures in my mind of what the characters looked like but could never get it onto paper. When COVID erupted in 2020, I started doing more drawing, drawing characters and more for the story. This led to the creation of an Instagram page dedicated to the account, called @order949official. Since then, I’ve been so grateful to have made that decision, as it’s led to the expansion of the world space and the creation of new characters, organizations, tribes, and possibilities for new stories in the world space.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Growing up with autism, it has been a struggle but I overcame it through the support of family and friends. Being creative has helped get through hardships and much like autism, has inspire me to stand out and embrace being different. It has led me to take interest in stories and that are unique in a way that they really stand out. It’s as though it’s its own thing, like it gives off a certain feeling. Like seeing the artwork of Picasso or something similar in style, people point it out and say it reminds them of said artist. Or how directors have a certain style of directing that makes them recognizable.
I always try to strive to create things that are their own thing that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Inspiration is everywhere, but it’s up to the creator how they use it. Always think outside the box and look at shapes in ways that could implement in creating let’s say, helmets.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Use hashtags that correlate with what kind of content you’re sharing (#art, #scifi, #drawing, etc.).
Go to your Feed on Instagram and search through there, and even search hashtags to find other people who do the same things as you.
Artist support posts are a great way to find other creatives.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
There was a time where I struggled with anatomy and drawing animal heads. I overcame this hurdle by telling myself “just keep drawing”. Simply put, the more you do it, the better you get.
