We recently connected with Vincent Nappi and have shared our conversation below.

Vincent, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you manage your own social media?

I manage all my social media, but that’s because my brand is based around my work and my personality. Folks aren’t just buying into the art – they’re buying into the personality behind it – the influences shared, the knowledge passed on, the aesthetic sensibilities and sense of humor that underpins the whole thing.

When I reach a point where it makes sense to outsource, I’ll consider it, but until then no one knows how to better rep what I do than me.

Vincent, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I’m an artist & illustrator from New York now living in Florida. I create work for a steadily growing list of incredible clients with a focus on fashion illustration, graphics for print, branding & advertising imagery.

Several years ago, I launched my own brand of illustrated apparel under the label NOIR INC. and I spend my spare time creating new designs, studying marketing, design and business.

I also offers classes where I’m focused on passing on my knowledge to artists young and old, inspiring them to create and lead full lives with art at the core.

Do you have multiple revenue streams – if so, can you talk to us about those streams and how your developed them?

I think every artist worth their salt these days has several ways they pull down money.

For me, there’s freelance work, sales of prints and original art, course sales and NOIR INC.

I also write email copy on a freelance basis for coaches in various niches. Left field for an artist, I know.

It’s all creative work.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

Taking an idea and making it real on paper. Nothing beats it.
