Vince, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
So I’ve always been in Talent shows , Dance offs, and Plays growing up, but My first great feeling for being a Creative and knowing it was actually possible for me to pursue came back in 7th grade. My classmate by the Name of Jason Richter was starring in a Major film called “Free Willy” I think seeing him actually be in a major film really influenced me and opened my eyes to my future.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started acting seriously in 2015, I’d say I got my first wind of passion for becoming A professional actor back in seventh grade. A friend of mine named Jason Richter was starring in a major film called “Free Willy” I think seeing him as a regular kid that came from the same areas I did on the big screen was the first time I believe that I could be a professional actor. Growing up being in Talent shows, Dance offs and stage plays.. I knew if I learned proper set etiquette and got the experience on major productions I’d be on my way to being ready for auditions. My next step was getting signed to an agency. Now I am signed to 3! Lots of rejection, and a lot of ground work to get signed to an agency, But when you land one that really go gets opportunities for you, the feeling when u book something is like no other!! My first year of being signed to an agency I had two national commercials and a feature in a television show so like I always say, sky is the limit when you’ve got your head down and you’re focused on your craft. There’s just nothing that can stop you. When you look in the mirror that’s your competition nothing or nobody else!
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
There’s definitely a particular goal driving my creative journey and you might laugh at this but it’s been a long time goal of mine and I still feel that it’s possible I dream of being the Folgers guy that comes home from college or a long vacation and surprises his parents or grandparents with fresh coffee in the morning I always love those commercials and just the natural feel of them is so great .
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Going through the whole process from getting an audition completing an audition getting a call back completing a call back and then getting booked, executing the job and the work needed of you on set to make sure that your character comes off the best you can to seeing it actually on the screen …… is priceless!
