We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Vinaya Saunders. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Vinaya below.
Alright, Vinaya thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the story behind how you got your first job in field that you currently practice in.
I began at the Department of Energy as a yoga instructor. My classical training from India came in handy. They were all middle-aged seniors who had limitations. My sequence was designed for people in their 20s. That day was very insightful, as what you learn and what you get as an experience was completely different. In matter of days, I was able to help a lot of people feel better with their back issues and posture. The only problem was that I could only help my clients with physical issues, yet they usually came in with diet or emotional questions. That let me to explore Ayurveda, (Indian medicine) which is designed considering the five elements. It has an immense accuracy when dealing with the root causes, instead of just addressing the symptoms.
As I had started to help my clients with diet and nutrition, the emotional issues were still nagging them. That led me to explore healing modalities. I soon got certifications in 5 different healing modalities and each one was perfect in removing excess negative emotions that become stored in our energy field.
Later, I did gained certifications in Advanced Ayurveda Gynechology, Advanced Studies in Dermatology. Master in Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy.
If it wasn’t for the first day at the Department of Energy and the people whom I’ve encountered through my years, I wouldn’t have explored all these modalities and tools that are available for us to help ourselves lead a better life.
To this day, my very first day made an impact and I owe all my wisdom and knowledge to my clients who have led my path in solving their issues.
I later have worked with women over 40 to help increase their fertility and teenage kids and adults struggling with addiction. Energy therapy grants me a vast spectrum of clients from all walks of life.
I am very lucky to be on this path of healing others physically, mentally and emotionally.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Vinaya Saunders. I am the founder of a new yoga technique and company called Vinayam. Vinayam means “Humble Yoga.” I provide services online so clients can have personal yoga classes at home. I cater to their needs and plan sequences uniquely for each of them based on their needs.
Vinayam provides yoga and Ayurvedic solutions to issues that are unresolved. Ayurveda is a type of “Indian medicine” which includes diet, cleansing, yoga, and meditation. All of these are customized according to your body type and individual preferences.
Both yoga and Ayurvedic medicine have been proven to be successful over thousands of years. They’ve helped people overcome high stress issues. We work on things like anxiety, lack of self-confidence, limiting beliefs, and negative thought patterns. All of these can lead to physical symptoms.
We view everything as holistic. That means we work on body, mind, spirit, and emotions to cure issues at the level of their root cause. We also help people who are not ill, but who want to enhance their spiritual growth and physical or emotional wellness.
Although I do work with people of all ages (“from cradle to grave”) and help them with a wide variety of conditions, my specialty is helping women and couples who need fertility enhancement.
I love working with women who are in their late 30’s and early 40’s, who want to conceive, but who have counterproductive concepts about themselves. So, I have created a fertility enhancement program, called “From Infertility to Delivery ~ Your Little One Is Waiting.” It helps women who are in their late 30’s and early 40’s who have been unable to conceive and who have high anxiety on the subject of having children.
“From Infertility to Delivery ~ Your Little One Is Waiting,” has become a great success in transforming the thinking of these ladies! My techniques help them stress less and heal themselves with Ayurvedic remedies for their body, mind, spirit, and emotions. My clients have become very successful, as we help them learn and practice Ayurvedic diet, meditation, yoga, and other self-healing techniques. Some of them now have the children they so desperately wanted!
My professional qualifications include:
- E-RYT 500, CPYT( certified prenatal yoga teacher)
- YACEP (yoga alliance continuing education practitioner)
- AP (Ayurvedic practitioner) Advanced Studies in Ayurvedic Dermatology, Gynechology, Obstetrics, Diet and Disease Management
- Panchakarma
- CMRT (Certified Master Reiki Teacher)
- Master Practitioner for Energy Healing Therapy
- Currently pursuing training to be an Ayurvedic Doctor at Kerala Ayurveda Academy.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
As a holistic practitioner I have cultivated lot of patience. Most of my clients come to me at an imbalanced state. My commitment and dedication is required to reverse a lot of their patterns and habits.
Most of the clients with persistent habits of addiction require time and patience. It is not quick fix or one pill solution.
It takes a few years to see some of the small changes and progress. Luckily, I have had great experiences with seeing my clients’ progress. I owe it to the energy therapy sessions I do.
There was one client of mine who had trouble conceiving for years. After several failed IVF’s she ended up reaching out to me. It took trust and dedication to the process. In result, she conceived in just a couple of months.
That made us both happy. Sometimes it is only a matter of resetting their diet and life styles that brings a lot of changes and success in the process.
Sometimes it is can also be the mental blocks that people hold themselves in. Once that is cleared they see success.
If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
Yes, I feel tremendously blessed that this path and journey have found me. I love what I do and what I have to offer to the world in terms of healing.
