Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Viktoriya Winter. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Viktoriya, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about how you went about setting up your own practice and if you have any advice for professionals who might be considering starting their own?
It all started with a vision of inside-out beauty. For me, beauty was never just about appearance — it was about how a person feels inside: whole, confident, and cared for. That belief led me to study skincare in Germany, where I saw how much knowledge, detail, and precision go into truly helping someone look and feel their best.
When I came to Miami, I realized something was missing. Most salons were quick and convenient, but they weren’t really listening to people. They didn’t create an experience that cared for the client from start to finish. That’s when I made the decision to take a leap and open my own place.
DA Beauty Bar started with nothing more than a sublease in the corner of hair salon, credit card bills, and a dream. No employees, no safety net — just the determination to create a salon that set a new standard in Brickell for nails and brows. The early days were not easy: building a clientele from zero, training the right team, keeping up with expenses before there was steady income. But I believed that if we focused on true quality and genuine care, people would notice — and they did. Slowly, clients started to return, then recommend us, and DA Beauty Bar became known as a place you could trust.
A year ago, I took the next step and launched Atenaå Beauty Concept. This project was about more than services — it was about creating a sanctuary. A space that feels like stepping into a journey, a place where beauty meets peace of mind. Designed with natural textures, soft tones, and calming details, Atenaå is where clients don’t just look better, they feel renewed.
Looking back, the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that building something of your own is never simple — but it’s worth it. There will be moments when it feels overwhelming, when it looks nothing like the dream you first imagined, and when giving up feels easier. In those moments, the only thing that carries you forward is passion for what you do.
So my advice is simple: follow your dream and trust that your talent is needed. Choose a path you’re truly passionate about. Build something that reflects who you are. Because when your work comes from love, people feel it — and that’s what creates lasting success.
Beauty, to me, has always been about more than looks. It’s about the confidence to be yourself — and the courage to build your own path.

Viktoriya, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Outside appearance is a reflection of the inside world.
This belief has guided me from the very beginning of my journey in beauty. For me, beauty has never been only about how someone looks — it’s about how they feel: whole, confident, and cared for.
What sets my work apart is that I don’t believe in “fast beauty.” True transformation takes time, daily care, and intention. That’s why I’ve set up my places to be truly transformative. It’s not only about offering the best nails or brows in town — it’s about guiding clients into a deeper process of self-investment. Because when you dedicate your time, love, and energy to yourself, you gain something much greater: empowerment.
What I am most proud of is seeing that transformation in women every day. Watching someone walk in carrying stress and walk out glowing, lighter, and more confident — that is my dream come true. I am also proud of building two brands from scratch, proving that with vision, passion, and persistence, something lasting and meaningful can grow.
If there is one thing I want people to know about me and my brands, it’s this: beauty is not vanity. It’s confidence, it’s empowerment, and it’s the courage to step into the world as your best self. That is what drives everything I do.

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
If I could go back, I would still choose the same path — though my journey into beauty wasn’t linear, every step led me here. I originally studied speech therapy and teaching because I always loved to guide and help people grow. I also had modeling experience, which taught me a lot about presentation, confidence, and the external side of beauty. But modeling also brought a kind of inner insecurity — the constant question of whether you would be chosen or not. That experience showed me clearly that the true definition of beauty cannot come from outside approval.
That’s why I believe so deeply that beauty starts inside. When we feel whole and confident within, it naturally reflects outward. Our enhancement treatments — whether nails, brows, or skincare — are not there to “create” beauty, but to bring out what is already there.
My deep studies in skincare in Germany gave me the scientific foundation to understand how real transformation happens, and together with my other experiences, it all came together in the best way.
Today, I’m inspired not only to provide high-quality services but also to create a community in beauty. I want to open more opportunities and working places for those who want to build their careers in this field. And most importantly, I want women to understand that true beauty is sustainable. It’s not about chasing an overnight fairytale result — it’s about proudly taking care of yourself day by day, investing in your brows, your skin, your nails, and honoring them as an important part of who you are.
Because when you invest in the right things — healthy nails, well-shaped brows, quality skincare, and high-standard services — you don’t just look beautiful, you feel confident. And that confidence is lasting. It’s something everyone deserves.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Simply persistence and love to what you do
