We were lucky to catch up with Viktoria Sima recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Viktoria thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
My defining moment was when I first started taking care of my health, eat well and do aerobic. And later on I started going to the gym. Later on I decided to try myself out in fitness modeling and I started to compete in bikini competitions. I placed 2nd in my first competition and it gave me more confidence and belief to continue it. I believe hard work really pays off.
Viktoria , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I was competing bikini fitness competitions for 4 years all year round, from spring to winter. I was going with my sponsors to expos and photoshootings, and I’ve done influencer works. I lived half of the year in the States and half in Hungary, where I originally came from.
Nowadays I stopped all of these activities, actually 4 years ago when the COVID came to destroy people’s life. My father died, and I couldn’t travel back to the States because of lockdown. Next to the bad things I’ve had good ones too. I’ve met with my boyfriend who is my husband now and we have a 5 months old baby boy. I have a more serious job, I work at Budapest Airport under Airport Operation Services, but I’m on maternity leave right now.
I’m proud of myself because I moved on with my fitness carreer in the hardest times, and I’ve got a job where is not everything depends on about how I look, who I know and how many % is my bodyfat.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I was always very accurate no matter what. That could be meals, poses, cardio, weight lifting or anything. I was always in good shape because I knew I have to be in good shape, to motivate people and be ready at any time for the companies to travel to expos, shows with them or prepare for a competition in a short time.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
If I could go back I would choose the same profession, because fitness and healthy lifestyle tought me more than just how to be fit or eat well.
It taught me discipline, endurance, to work hard for what you want and everybody can fail just to stand back up stronger.
