We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Victorial Bean a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Victorial , appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

When the Covid came in 2020 we all had to stay in place when we was on a locked down I was wondering what can I do to keep me occupied. I was scrolling on my phone for you tube and I thought about I can try to make candles to keep my mind off this Covid mess. Making candles kept me busy and in the house the whole time and I’m still busy and in the house all the time doing candles in my garage.

When the covid came in 2020 we all were under a stay at home and to wear mask, i said to myself i can’t stay in this house without doing nothing, i got on you tube to find me something to do so i tried making candles and been at it ever since. i decided to keep trying until I got it right, I had to keep going to make it right, i want my customers to know that I’m into my business that i make sure all my customers are satisfy and if they have any questions to please contact me any time about my products

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

The best source of new clients is qualified referrals from satisfied clients, because these prospects come with built -trust and social proof, they boast the highest conversion rates and lowest acquisition cost of my work. Individual who reached out are already engage and are my returning clients,

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

I’m funding my business out of my own pocket, its hard sometimes but as i get out and do more events and network on Facebook and make flyers and business cards it helps me get the funds for my business, Word of mouth from my clients is a big help.
