We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Victoria Panzella a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, thanks for joining us today. Do you have any thoughts about how to create a more inclusive workplace?
An inclusive workplace stands out for its ability to cultivate a sense of belonging, empowerment, and growth for all team members. In my experience, I’ve found that diverse teams bring a wider range of perspectives and ideas to the table, leading to more innovative solutions. Creating a workplace where everyone feels comfortable being their authentic selves and contributing their unique talents makes for a productive and creative environment.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Victoria Panzella and I am a creative director, producer, fashion & product stylist based in NYC. Since I was young, I’ve had a passion for all things fashion, beauty and pop culture. From playing dress up with my twin sister to reading various teen magazines in the back of my mom’s SUV, I always knew that my future career would somehow incorporate my passions. I went on to attend SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology where I received my AAS in Fine Arts with a minor in Art History in 2021 and my BFA in Fabric Styling with a minor in Fashion History, Theory & Culture in 2023. While at FIT, I was able to explore different avenues within the industry and gain hands-on experience through campus organizations like Blush Magazine and The Style Shop. Participating in these clubs helped shape my creative identity and introduced me to a vibrant network of talented individuals, many of whom I still work with today.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is getting to connect with others. Learning about other disciplines, such as photography and makeup artistry, and engaging with the unique backgrounds of my collaborators has significantly enriched my creative process. These invaluable perspectives allow me to approach my projects with a multifaceted lens, resulting in work that is more nuanced and impactful.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
There are a few key factors that I believe have contributed to my strong reputation. Firstly, I prioritize professionalism in all my interactions, ensuring timely communication and meeting deadlines. My outgoing nature allows me to build strong relationships with my fellow collaborators, fostering open communication and understanding their unique visions. Finally, I’m dedicated to going the extra mile to achieve spectacular results. This commitment to excellence has consistently satisfied clients/collaborators and built their trust in my abilities.
