We recently connected with Victoria Nugent and have shared our conversation below.
Victoria, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Success is a very relative term. It looks different from one person to the next. Websters defines it as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. When I envision what success looks like for me, I picture myself with a strong relationship with God, mental clarity, financial security, physical health, and thriving relationships. But what it takes to get there is universal! Self-discipline alone is what will lead to success. It is the strong foundation absolutely critical for anyone and everyone to reach their version of success. But it is a daily practice that cannot go missed and a habit that is immensely difficult to form and quite easy to break.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Victoria Nugent, I am 28 years old born and raised in Dallas, Texas! I create hand-crafted luxury bath and body products!
My faith and relationship with God is extremely important to me and plays a very large role in my business. God brought my fiancé, Jason, into my life a few years ago. Early on into our dating relationship Jason sent me the most beautiful bouquet of red roses, I dried the flowers out and kept them as a keepsake. It was so early on I wasn’t entirely sure what prompted me to keep them, but those roses now represent answered prayers and the wonderful relationship I have with Jason.
A few months into covid I decided to get crafty and attached my roses to a gorgeous piece of driftwood wood creating a sculpture-like piece of custom art. My thoughts were that others would love to showcase their precious petals from weddings and other special events as home decor items to, so I started a floral preservation company called Vique Botanical Boutique!
After a year or so of doing floral preservation, I realized how many precious petals I was throwing away and wanted to offer my clients an additional “add on” item. Thats where my bath products came in to the picture! I offered everything from luxury bath salts to goats milk soap bars all with my clients dried petals.
One summer, Swoozies Dallas asked me to do a pop-up for a bridal showcase they were hosting, and along with a few preservation pieces I also brought some bath products! One of the managers at Swoozies, Louann, who had been a huge supporter of my preservation business asked if I was able to create my bath products for the store! And the rest is history.
I now sell my bath products in Swoozies Dallas, and at The Botanical Mix in The Thompson Hotel.
I am most proud of how much I’ve learned in the process and grown from the difficulties that come along with trying to build a business. Mental barriers have been the biggest hurdles. It’s so easy to be upset that you’re not where you want to be that you forget how far you’ve come. But I am fortunate to be surrounded by people who believe in me and my products and that has been an indescribable blessing!
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Getting to selling my bath products was my biggest pivot. Wanting to offer my floral preservation clients and “add on” was what lead to what my business is today.
I am so fortunate to have had the incredible opportunity to launch my products at Swoozies Dallas in Preston Center. Louann, Ashley and Kelly, and Cody have been the most gracious and supportive vendor team I could have ever prayed for! They were lenient when I made mistakes and gave me the shot that every small business is looking for.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Word of mouth for sure has been my best source of new clients.
