Victoria, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry

One of the biggest trends that is see in the Digital Marketing industry is AI. Thinking long term it really isn’t a trend, it is here to stay. Some on the concerns people have is that AI will take jobs. To me, I see this as an opportunity. In fact, there is a blog on my website about AI and how it increases efficiency. I believe the best bet is to get comfortable with it. We’ve been using AI for years and never realized. This isn’t the time to fear it, it is the time to embrace it. Learn about the history and discover how you can make AI work for you. I have credits though a course I took; AI for Business and I plan to enroll in another soon because I refuse to be left behind. Would you rather stay in the dark about AI and have to ask how someone how to maneuver in the ever changing world or would you like to have some knowledge on the subject matter to be able to move confidently in your day to day life? You be the judge.

Victoria, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Victoria and I am the Founder of Designer Digital Marketing. I am also a Freelancer.

I got into this industry generally always having a knack for creativity. I love being creative with cooking, decorating, and the arts. I am also the person that wants to empower people and provide them visibility or recognition, or just connect with what they are passionate about. I love researching data and I’m organized. I just love helping people. I want to make such a positive impact on someone that it will always be remembered.

I’m most proud taking the risk to do something that is not common in my family which is, starting my own business. Time have changed so it was important to me to have the knowledge of running my own business.

I am a Certified Digital Marketing Professional through the Digital Marketing Institute and a Professional Certified Marketer (Digital Marketing) through the American Marketing Association. My recent focus has been branded graphics, content creation, paid ads, and social media management. As mentioned before, I am also on an AI journey. There is always something new for us to learn in life.

Now, Designer Digital Marketing wants to know about your passions and visions. What is it that you want the world to know about you and your brand? We are big on communication so reach out and let us know how we can help make that vision come to life.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

People say that the first couple years are the hardest for a new business. It will make or break you. To me one of the reasons I decided to move forward with a business in digital marketing was because I know this was one thing I could do for hours and still be totally engaged, determined, and also amazed at what I created in that moment.

The first year for me wasn’t bad. Sure I could use extra money but I am in a comfortable place without it. I used this time to get experience. I took on projects for other business owners for the experience alone. I thought I should appreciate this time because things can turn around at any moment! Which isn’t a bad thing either.

The key is doing something that you enjoy so that it doesn’t feel like “work”.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?

I have been into podcasts lately. There are 2 that I listen to, around my age, that I really enjoy. Meg Robbins and Gary Vaynerchuk. I connect and learn from them because they are honest, empowering, and unfiltered a lot of the time. The one thing that I always take away from them is; do my best. we are all learning, encourage others, and that I am strong enough to do this. Also, don’t take any crap. LOL!
