Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Victoria Hairston . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Victoria, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
I got into real estate in 2019! I knew eventually I would want to do it full time! I worked hard and prayed harder! In 2021, I stepped out on faith and left my full time job to focus solely on real estate! Best decision ever. It allowed me to put my all into what I was passionate about. If I would have never taken that risk to quit my full time job, there is no telling how my business would be now.
Victoria, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I knew I always had a passion for helping others, but just didn’t really know what I wanted to do for a career. I was talking with a good friend of mine, and he asked me what could I see myself doing. I mentioned real estate and didn’t think much about it after I said that. Well a couple months later for my birthday gift, him and my best friend purchased the real estate class for me. I took the class and I was so determined to pass. I felled the in class test on the first try and I only got one more chance to take it. I knew that if God had it in my plans for me to do this, then I would definitely pass it on that next go around and not have to retake the class. I finally passed. Then I had to go take the state and national test. It took me three tries for that but as they say, third time is the charm lol. I was determined not to give up after I had made it so far. It has definitely been filled with high highs but some Low lows as well. It is a great career, but very demanding, and not always easy as people make it out to be. I honestly tell everyone who asks, that I could not imagine myself doing anything different though. I think something that sets me apart from many others is that I’m genuinely myself. A lot of people in this business think you have to be a different person with your clients than you are in reality. 98% of my business comes from social media. So my clients get a feel for who I am, things I like, and how I run my business before they even officially work with me. This is one of the reasons that all of my clients and I have a great relationship because they know, like, and trust me before the process. Something that I’m most proud of is my work ethic and continuous progression. I’m always trying to learn new ways to elevate my business and help my clients the best ways that I can. It brings me such great joy after the transaction when my clients express such sincere gratitude to me. It lets me know that I am on the right path.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Being my true authentic self! I merged my personal and business page together so everyone could see the real me. I post things that are going on in my real world as well as my business transactions. My advice to everyone that asks is to stay consistent with different content. Every time I post on my page, I get AT LEAST one person asking about the process. Be real and show your personality.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Social media and word of mouth!! 98% of my clients have come from social media. My past clients also send their friends and or family my way as well. If you are good to others and do a great job, the referrals will come in.
