We recently connected with Victoria Amador and have shared our conversation below.
Victoria, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about the best advice you’ve ever given to a client? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
During my first year of transpersonal therapy, I encountered a client with long-standing issues involving her mother. She expressed a desire to harm her mother, which was deeply unsettling for me. This situation caused me to become anxious, as I was unsure how to handle her intense emotions while also considering the potential legal implications. I worried that my actions may have hindered her progress in exploring and resolving her deep-rooted feelings. However, this experience ignited a passion within me for working with individuals dealing with profound traumas. In order to ensure that I am equipped to handle any challenge that arises, I sought out top-notch training from renowned Transpersonal Therapists & Institutions worldwide.
During one session with this client, she tapped into a past life and channeled a spirit who seemed to be aware of my struggle with her intensity. The spirit encouraged me to allow her to express her anger and frustration, explaining that suppressing these emotions would only prolong the healing process. In an act of physical expression, she kicked and punched a pillow, even tearing the pillowcase. Her swearing and screams were so intense that my office neighbors knocked on the door to check on me! Four months later, she reached out to inform me that her rage against her mom had miraculously vanished. I will never forget this client and the impact she had on my early months as a Transpersonal Therapist. Through her sessions, I learned how to accept and embrace my clients’ individual expressions and intensity, ultimately making me a better therapist.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have a unique background that led me to become a Transpersonal Hypnotherapist. I am also pursuing a degree in Mental Health Counseling. With years of experience on my own spiritual journey and helping others with various spiritual services, I discovered a common desire among my clients for a different life. However, many of them were relying solely on spirit guides and natural forces to magically change their lives, unaware that they needed to address their own beliefs and childhood traumas to truly move forward.
Recognizing the need for a different approach, I began training to offer spiritual healing in a therapeutic setup to those who were seeking it. Many of my clients felt uncomfortable discussing these matters with traditional therapists, fearing they would be seen as “crazy.” They welcomed the opportunity to work with me on the spiritual aspects of their lives in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
Over time, I attracted a diverse clientele ranging from individuals going through spiritual awakenings to those dealing with intense traumas. I now specialize in helping clients navigate their spirituality while also addressing and healing their past traumas. This holistic approach allows them to reconnect with themselves, others, and the world around them, ultimately finding a sense of fulfillment and well-being.
My services include Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, Brain Entrainment 3rd Eye Clearing, Chakra Light Therapy, Vibroacoustic Therapy, Aura Reading Photography, and group sessions in a shamanic style.
I take immense pride in witnessing the remarkable transformation of my clients who, after a lifetime of suffering, are able to turn their lives around in just a few months with my guidance. The sense of fulfillment I experience is akin to giving birth to a new individual.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Throughout my life, I have undergone numerous significant career changes. After graduating from Cornell University, I transitioned from a corporate hospitality career to successfully opening my own cleaning business. From there, I made further drastic changes by venturing into the online high-end gift shop, event venue, and vegan restaurant industries. While it may seem that I have constantly shifted my focus, I have never anticipated finding such happiness in my work. It continues to amaze me. I have allowed my spirit to guide me towards projects and places that once frightened me the most. Whenever I doubted my capabilities, I proved myself wrong within a few years, conquering my fears head-on. The fear of starting a cleaning business stemmed from my upbringing, where I was surrounded by wealth and influential business leaders at Cornell. However, I realized that opening a cleaning business in Boston was the best way to help my family, particularly my mother who had worked as a maid for many years. By giving her the opportunity to manage the business and grow alongside me, we achieved great success. It was incredibly fulfilling to see the positive impact we made on the lives of the cleaners we hired, as many of them went on to become prosperous entrepreneurs themselves with our help. Ironically, during my time at Cornell, I swore I would never open a restaurant due to the stress and fear of failure. Yet, twelve years later, I found myself successfully running my own restaurant. For me, pivoting and exploring new paths has never been an issue. However, with my current Hypnotherapy business, my goal is to commit to it for many years once I obtain my mental health license. I find it easy to move on, but I am determined to stick with this venture for the long term. I tend to get bored easily but with so many people and so many challenges they face every day seems to be a whole new adventure!

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
To excel in any healing modality, it is crucial to have the necessary skills and training. However, it is equally important to recognize that your truth may differ from that of your clients. It is not your responsibility to convince others that your perspective is correct. Once this understanding is achieved, we can cease attempting to persuade clients to adopt our beliefs.
I have observed that clients who experience significant transformations are those who discover their own truth with my guidance, rather than being given the answers I believe to be right for them. Typically, clients seek my opinion on their situations, and I have become skilled at assisting them in finding their own solutions quickly. This leads to profound changes in their perception of life, healing their traumas, and shedding painful belief systems.
This approach also allows me to feel liberated. I am no longer burdened with the expectation of being the healer or savior; instead, I serve as a knowledgeable guide. Detaching myself from the role of the ‘healer’ has free me beyond what I can express in words, I do not feel responsible as I did in the past and can listen and guide my clients without having my own traumas and beliefs get in the way of their healing journeys.
